Not a joke. My reason is because of the stats I've posted. Other things influence those stats and all but I stand by it. Lol shut down the #3 receiver, do you hate him because of his cockiness?

I do, as a person, but not as a player.

The reason I say the number three is because, as I said, he plays the left cornerback role. Teams can throw out their number three receiver to that side and just make him their last read. He's not consistently getting the best wide receiver, like Revis does.

Those stats don't take into account what I told you about the safety looks. Teams would love what Revis allows. A safety in the box every play and you don't have to have a center fielder, the safety just has to be responsible for one side? That alone is so valuable to a defense. This doesn't even take into account how willing Revis is in the run game and as a tackler in space.

I guess it's like comparing McCoy & Charles. Can't be right or wrong both are great at what they do.

Off topic to this thread, but I prefer Charles

And I, McCoy. Lol agree to disagree! :D

..I'm sure Revis would thrive in Seattle as well, but regardless of the situation, those stats deserves to be noticed and respected.

Like Revis, I love the versatility of Charles.

I think Revis would thrive anywhere and I think Sherman would turn some secondaries around. I think he's great, but I don't like him as my top cornerback in the NFL. I like him top 3.

Interesting thought, we've seen two big wide receivers turned cornerbacks have success in the NFL in Cooper and Sherman. Why do more teams not look to do this?

I don't mind the smack talk.  I don't mind him saying he's going to own you when you're on the field with him.  I LOVE his passion!  However, I do mind him saying he's the best CB in the game ... very cocky!  You don't hear Brady or Manning saying that stuff.  It will come back to bite Sherman when he's old and slow.  I do mind him running up to Crabtree right after the play and rubbing it in his face.  Way to rub salt in a wound ... very classless.

So? It's football. If you don't like him belittling you in public, stop him with YOUR play on the field and I'll bet you Sherman would be on quiet time. And Brady had a slick mouth in 2007 when they were running up the score on people and stating they should score more than 17 pts in the Superbowl. Is that not cocky? And look what happened to him. He got dealt with, on national TV, in front of the Millions (AND MILLIONS) of NFL fans!

BUT! I'm chillin'.

While he is very good and intelligent, and has the work ethic necessary to compete in the NFL, he is also evidently arrogant and irritable. He has a history of controversy, which shouldn't be difficult to find.

I feel bad for Erin Andrews. She looked pretty terrified.

So Erin looked "terrified" during that interview huh?  Really?

Meanwhile, Andrews appears to be enjoying the attention her postgame interview has received, even though Fox reportedly ended Sherman’s interview.

“He lost his mind and it was awesome — for once,” Andrews told The Dan Patrick Show on Monday (via ExtraMustard.Si.com). “I do think they [Fox's producers] might have been worried about language.”

Umm...She said it was awesome!

Im pretty sure "arrogant coach and qb" is why this board hated the 49ers, but now we love Sherman after last night? Hmm.

No!  That is why "some" on this board hated the 49ers...not all of us!

Wrong time, wrong place. He turned what should have been a very happy and celebratory moment for his team into something very ugly, not to mention the fact that he made himself look like a thug who has no concern, whatsoever, for the Seattle fans or for his teammates. He did not win the game alone. What an embarrassment.

If I remember correctly Revis got torched a few times this year.

I think every cornerback does. Even Sherman got torched by TY Hilton.

The Seahawks picked Sherman at 154 and the Ravens picks Brown at 164 with a comp pick.

I hope he makes a game winning INT off Peyton in the Super Bowl. I wish more (great) players went off in interviews like this. Best wishes to the guy, one can only wish he was a Raven.

It's been awhile and Tracy is the killer in that game; the dude has ups and downs.

I'm looking for that type of play from Sherman....

I hope that the Seahawks win, mainly because they are the underdog, but I also want Manning to light up Sherman for a couple deep passes and Sherman to drop an INT that hits him right in the stomach.

Sherman made one play. One play. Against the Broncos he's gonna have to show his tackling ability against the bubble screens. As far as I know the Hawks don't delegate their corners to cover a certain receiver so he's gonna have his hands full with 3 diffrent type of WRs. It's the big stage. Peyton will throw his way. If he want to be known as the best corner in the league this is his time to shine.

You know Sherman is playing a chip on his shoulder; I doubt he'll break down in crunch time...

If Wilson can put some points on the board, it's going to be a long day for Manning.  If the Hawks only score with FGs, it's going to be a long day for their defense....

You're mistaking the two. Having swagger and little bit of cockiness is fine. But the game was over. Seahawks WON and he was acting a fool in front of the interview. That's not swagger, that's being a diva.

Ray & Ed always had the swagger. But when the game was over, I never saw them rub it in opponents face.

I see sherman becoming more of the next T.O in the making rather than being the next Ray Lewis. But to each his own.

I remember differently from the young Ray Lewis. The dude used to taunt over players and intimidate WRs and RBs as much as he could. As a viewer, Sherman is much more entertaining than most of the NFL; and if I were a teammate, I'd admire his enthusiasm and his passion not only for the game, but to be the best. The dude was picked in the middle rounds and proved everyone completely wrong

Sherman is not disrespecting fans, throwing popcorn around, and calling out his teammates.

Yeah that was a funny video with Sherman. Now I think Sherman is the best corner in the league. He talks his fair share but he is able to back it up and that is what counts. But if you think he talks too much, you clearly have never heard of Deion Sanders, I don't think anyone in football talked more trash than he did in his time. But that is what works for them both, it allows them to get into the receiver's head and can play with their emotions which plays right into their hands.
