CB Richard Sherman

Yeah, I'd want this guy on my team. I don't care about smack talk. Probably shouldn't do it in front of the press but what's the big deal, really? Didn't realize that football was shown on the Disney channel now

He didn't do it as badly as Sherman did it... It's arrogance and classless.

Suggs called Belichick a arrogant [profanity deleted] last year. Called the whole team arrogant (veiled profanity). Sherman just called Crabtree Mediocre after he got mashed in the face while trying to shake his hand. But Sherman is the disrespectful one? Sherman is a boss.

Agree. Classless and full of excuses.

I don't know why his the exception to everyone else.

If any of our ravens player did that, they'd be thrashed all week.

It's entertainment. "Class" is overrated in the game of football. Ray Lewis was certainly loud and not "classy."

Remember the whole "no weapon" crap?

The Ravens need that intensity back, the old Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and a little T Sizzle.

why dont they need him in the locker room? Looks like its doing ok for the Seahawks

While he is very good and intelligent, and has the work ethic necessary to compete in the NFL, he is also evidently arrogant and irritable. He has a history of controversy, which shouldn't be difficult to find.

I feel bad for Erin Andrews. She looked pretty terrified.

Lol some of these comments. People would've still hated him even if he had an Andrew luck like interview.

Now everybody knows him, I don't think that was case before last nights game. He's getting proper recognition that he deserved, from everywhere.

While I disagree with you about wanting him on our team, at least Sherman is able to back his words up. So many guys can't do that.

He is a moron that needs to shut his mouth.

A moron eh?? Well try this on for size... he was 2nd in his high school graduating class, and majored in Communications at Stanford U. He is very far from being a moron.

He's very competitive.

Football is not a game for the faint of heart. When they legislate all combative emotion out, we'll all be done with it.

The networks need to think twice about sending delicate women immediately into the melee post game.  They have to expect the gladiators are still on edge.

Send Tony Siragusa in there. He'll be able to handle it.

Gusa would eat that kind of stuff up, no pun intended.

Education is only good if you practice what you have learned. Morons know better but decide to disregard it. I never called him ignorant as I know he has intelligence, I called him a moron as he chooses to come off as such.

I don't mind the smack talk.  I don't mind him saying he's going to own you when you're on the field with him.  I LOVE his passion!  However, I do mind him saying he's the best CB in the game ... very cocky!  You don't hear Brady or Manning saying that stuff.  It will come back to bite Sherman when he's old and slow.  I do mind him running up to Crabtree right after the play and rubbing it in his face.  Way to rub salt in a wound ... very classless.

The thing that irks me most about Sherman is that he is intelligent, but you'd never guess it by watching an interview with him. I mean you graduate from Stanford (even if it was an easier major), but that's still an incredible school, but you shout and spout off like you have never been interviewed before.

I thought Crabtree was talking mad smack to him during the game, but apparently this goes back to something said in Arizona during the offseason. I mean, seriously? You were waiting that long just to say it?

I also think he's highly overrated (he's good, but the best? No), but he loves to talk himself up. How often do we see Darelle Revis hype himself up? I have never seen Revis talk about he's the very best (except in that twitter battle with Sherman). Let the fans do that for you. Just such a cocky and moronic attitude.

That interview with Skip Bayless just did it for me. He's taking personal shots at Skip Bayless when Skip was just trying to ask him about the game. That's really classless, and while I don't like Skip, that's just too far. He is just such an ignorant punk.

I like smack talk and when players jaw off to each other (I think it's hilarious when Ray Rice does it), but when you get in the face of someone after the game is over and you're making signals to a player, that's when it bothers me. That's part of the reason I dislike Johnny Manziel.

And before any of you say I ignore it if the Ravens do stuff like that, I don't. I hate any player propping themselves up on a pedestal and being a punk, even if it is our own. I may be a little more forgiving to our own, but it doesn't change the fact that it bothers me quite a bit when they do it.

You're mistaking the two. Having swagger and little bit of cockiness is fine. But the game was over. Seahawks WON and he was acting a fool in front of the interview. That's not swagger, that's being a diva.

Ray & Ed always had the swagger. But when the game was over, I never saw them rub it in opponents face.

I see sherman becoming more of the next T.O in the making rather than being the next Ray Lewis. But to each his own.

Sherman is classless and an idiot. He might be one of the top 3 CBs in the game, even the top one, but his attitude is not appreciated.

He's not classless. He's an intense competitor that trash talks and backs it up. He contributes to the community and team and from what I've heard is a generally nice guy in person. Emotions run high in a championship game and making a huge play against a major rival just furthers that. He's also not an idiot and saying so is just an egregious show of ignorance. As stated earlier he did very well academically furthering the fact that he is not an idiot. I appreciate his attitude. I love seeing that fire and personality, I wish more players were like that. It just makes the game more interesting.

Lol..if they think Sherman is disrespectful, they need to shut his mouth on the field like Sherman did to Crabtree who had disrespected Sherman as a bad CB.....

I think it's funny. If you're a hawks fan, you absolutely love it. Having the best DB in the league that just made the play of his career say that about your divisional rival after beating them in the NFC championship.

49ers fans absolutely hate it and probably 99% call him classless for it. Most hated man in San Fran ATM.

Outside nfl fans are mixed about it. Looks like the majority disagree with him. Others, like myself, think it's awesome and shouldn't be much of a deal.

I just can't believe it blew up like this. It's really become a hot topic. Not everything has to be censored or politically correct. Its a game. I just saw a Sherman "I'm the man" headphones commercial. It's official lol.

@NFLonFOX: Since @RSherman_25 entered the League:

• 1st in picks (20)

• 1st in passes defensed (61)

• Opp QB Rtg when targeted 39.4 (1st)

SHUTDOWN.

These stats show that opposing quarterbacks seem to like to target him a lot. I don't have a PFF subscription anymore to check that, but he's no Revis

Im pretty sure "arrogant coach and qb" is why this board hated the 49ers, but now we love Sherman after last night? Hmm.

All I ever said was that I hated the way Jim Harbs cries on the sideline. Can't speak for everyone else though.

Hahaha is that a joke? That Seattle secondary has arguably the best safety duo in the league and they consistently play two deep and role coverage to the side of Sherman. He's also strictly man coverage and a left cornerback. Oh, he can shut down a number three receiver with safety help over the top? Cool.

Revis can play man or zone, anywhere on the field, and has single high safeties role away from him.

Not a joke. My reason is because of the stats I've posted. Other things influence those stats and all but I stand by it. Lol shut down the #3 receiver, do you hate him because of his cockiness?
