CB Richard Sherman

Wish people would get off their high horse. It's about time we have someone who wear their emotions on their sleeves. The NFL have their Barry Sanders-like players who do the whole "I've been here before" routine. It's good to have a guy who talks trash and shows his emotion going against the grain. That's Sherman's personality. He got the best of Crabtree in that one instance... let him live. People be so sensitive over small stuff. Haha

Thats what I am saying. I see a little bit of that "swagger" in Elam and Jimmy, but we need everyone on our defense to adopt the attitude of knowing youre the man and proving youre the man

Elam's had that swagger since HS! It's a beautiful thing watching him grow as a player from then to now.

And class is super overrated anyway. You're talking about a game where people kick the crap outta each other for 60 minutes and the players are supposed to be meek?

Stay outta jail, back up your talk on the field, and you're okay with me.

this. In a league full of boring personalities and average defenders sherman is a breath of fresh air.

Suggs talks smack yet he isnt a moron? As long as a guy backs it up, he can talk all he wants

Loved Suggs's Spygate remark at the end of 2012's AFC Championship.  He was crass but accurate.  The clock is ticking and it looks as if Bill and Tom will never win a legitimate title after being exposed.  Sherman could've handled the post-interview better but he was clearly reacting to Crabtree's classless assault after the final play.

There is something to be said for winning gracefully. When you are great, there is no need to run around and tell everyone you are great. It was a very cringe-worthy moment that (in my opinion) took away from a monumental accomplishment by his team.

He  was excited he made the winning play its no big deal. Football is a game and should be fun. His play backs up what he says.I think most people make comments out of emotion and heat of the moment all the time

Love him...wish we had him...the pat on the butt and choke sign was alittle too much but the interview after was epic.

If ur good...u get to brag. Period.

The issue with Sherman talking so much is that one day...one day...the shoe will be on the other foot...and he wont be able to say much.

But I have no problem with people bragging when they're at the top of the mountain.

Anyone know how Sherman managed to get into Stanford?

Probably his 4.2 GPA, 1400 SAT, and the fact he was salutatorian.

I didn't know there was a level for trash talking, and it's not like Sherman cussed, people are too sensitive.

They get upset over little things nowadays!  Smh!

How do you think?

Probably his 4.2 GPA, 1400 SAT, and the fact he was salutatorian.

Boom!

Not everyone from Compton, CA is or was a gang banger!  Sherman just has and plays with a "personal" chip on his shoulder.

There's a difference between doing it in game in the heat of the moment and trashing someone in an interview where they can't fight back or prove you wrong anymore.

You know why Crabtree can't fight back anymore? Because Sherman sent him home when the game was on the line.

What makes him a moron? How are you going to tell a grown man he needs shut his mouth? As the other poster stated Suggs talks trash to is he also a moron? Or are you selective in your name calling?

He gets in everyone's face after a game, he just shows a lack of sportsmanship and even though I don't support what Trent Williams did ( punching him in the face), you can tell most players can't stand him. Watch the video of Trent punching him, Sherman basically runs away after getting hit then when Trent is restrained , Sherman starts with the mouth again. He's a punk

Sherman is classless and an idiot.  He might be one of the top 3 CBs in the game, even the top one, but his attitude is not appreciated.

How did 31 other teams miss this guy for 4 full rounds? I wish he was in a Ravens jersey.

His own College coach did not even draft him...He is a heck of a player but the Ravens do not need that in the locker room!

Suggs' trash talk is a little different. I've never seen him smack an opponent on the butt and get in their face after the game ending play. Then go on TV roid raging about how Crabtree talked bad about him when it never occurred.

I agree, he acts like a fool on the field. Although he tends to be pretty decent after wards and on tv interviews. That aside though, he is one hell of a player. I would certainly take his stupid comments if that level of play came with it, but I too can't understand why some people can't just shut their mouths sometimes. To each his own though, he kind of comes off as a Mohammed Ali of Corners (not saying he is quite that caliber) but just talks a butt load of trash to try and get in the head of the opponent, and comes off as a real pain in the ***.

I don't blame anyone for punching him in the face. In fact I'm surprised more people don't. However, that is just how he plays. He is a pain in the butt, and keeps your mind on him until the game is over. Its annoying as hell, but he is damn good.
