Is the best cornerback in the game and my Favorite non-raven player in the NFL.  How I wish this dude was on our team.  He is a beast and he will let you know he is a beast.

That might be hard to argue after his post-game interview. But, when you make that play in that game, maybe you can get away with a it a little bit.

You can't argue with his ability, and he should be Defensive Player of the Year.

These guys act like they wouldnt want him opposite jimmy Smith with Webb as a nickel...

I loved his post game interview. He just made the biggest play of his career and you interview him right afterwards?

Emotions, Let him have them.

In that hypothetical, it would be Smith/Webb opposite Sherman, not the other way around. But, I get your point. Anybody who says they wouldn't want him on their team is out of their mind.

Suggs talks smack yet he isnt a moron? As long as a guy backs it up, he can talk all he wants

Suggs' trash talk is a little different. I've never seen him smack an opponent on the butt and get in their face after the game ending play. Then go on TV roid raging about how Crabtree talked bad about him when it never occurred.

I absolutely LOVE Richard Sherman.  Any cat that can talk smack and back it up is alright in my book!  I like the passion, fire and chip on his shoulder that he plays with!  The Ravens need more of that!

How do you know Crabtree wasn't talking smack on the field?

Thats what I am saying.  I see a little bit of that "swagger" in Elam and Jimmy, but we need everyone on our defense to adopt the attitude of knowing youre the man and proving youre the man

Absolutely guys!  Love him or hate him (and most hate him) Sherman is the man!  That cat is a flat out baller in the secondary!  And when people keep saying what he can't do or what he isn't....he goes out there and shuts them the hell up!  That's my kind of cat right there!

BTW, Ray Lewis was very cocky in his younger days even though he let up a little in his final years.  Lets not forget the skull cap that had 52 on it, the way he said he was "God's Linebacker," the dance, and the on field smack talk.  I loved everybit of Ray Lewis' attitude and I think it contributed to his play a little as well.  Remember the superbowl tackle on Barber where he stood up and wagged his finger at the crowd and the Giants.  Or when he hushed the crowd after his pick against the Titans? Nothing wrong with saying youre the best when you are.  The problem starts when you talk all that smack and cant consistently back it up (see Ike Taylor)

Agree. Classless and full of excuses.

I don't know why his the exception to everyone else.

If any of our ravens player did that, they'd be thrashed all week.

Full of excuses!? he is the best corner in the NFL, what does he need to make excuses about?

Not sure what this has to do with the Ravens, but I'll bite lol.

I actually loved that interview.  It was nice to see someone be completely honest with their feelings instead of the cookie cutter "it was a team win."  He was riding on emotion.  The NFL needs guys like him.  Was it disrespectful?  Absolutely.  Was it also fun?  Absolutely.  As Mili said, Sherman is one of the few that can back up his talk with his play.

Best cornerback is very arguable, and I'd argue against it. I enjoy a little trash talk, but he takes it way too far, especially in that post game interview. If you're truly the best, let your opponents say it.

I never got to see Barry Sanders, but when I see highlights, he'd toss the ball to the referee, no celebrating or anything like he knew he'd score. Just humble play. What happened to those types of players?

Not by the fans though. Not everything needs to be political correct. Sherman talks trash and he backs it up. Like Mili said, he's my type of cat!! Best in the league with a great story. I love this cat lol

There's a difference between arrogance and confidence. Sherman's arrogant. I hope Denver exploits his attitude. However, I also wouldn't mind having him on our team. ;)

I love Sherman and how he plays but why was he mad at crabtree? in my mind i thought he would be mad at Kaep for testing him, not crabtree for running the route. who knows, maybe Crabtree was talking smack behind the camera. either way that was a big time play made by a big time player on a big time stage. Thank you Richard for letting me not have to listen to those whiny niners for 2 weeks especially their coach.

I agree his the best CB.  Are you talking about the same thing?

What does that has to do with his plays and him mouthing off and running off @ interview?

Does being the best player give you the reward of being an arrogant?  I guess if im the 'boss' of where i work, i can also talk smack and be an idiot too.

I feel like all the Ravens fans who are fond of Sherman's trash talk are being a little hypocritical.  Any Ray Lewis highlight video you watch from his younger days has him yelling at opponents to "get off the damn field," "This is a man's game little boy," and so on.  Attitude in football is needed.  Do you really think the 2000 Ravens defense didn't smack talk their opponents on every play?  That attitude is what can separate a good defense from a great defense.  Suggs even said in a recent interview that he is sure the coaches want to tell him to quiet down and humble himself but they won't because thats what makes him "Sizzle."  Michael Jordan is one of the biggest trash talkers of all-time, but nobody says he is a moron
