Game of Thrones season 4

Although minor details, it does annoy me that Jaime is already back in King's landing (unlike the books) and he is still attracted to Cersei (which isn't in the books).

Also not in the books, Oberyn Martell isn't bi sexual and the sex scenes just really need to go. You have a show with substance, you don't need to write plot lines just to show a pair of breasts or butt. Just tell the story that Martin wrote....

Oberyn is not a POV character, so we don't really see much of him.  It's not outside the realm of possibility that he was engaging in such activities behind the scenes.  It's like how the show has explicitly spelled out the gay characters when it was just implied in the books.

And without getting into spoiler territory, which a full rebuttal would require, I believe Jaime was still into Cersei at this time.  They're not that far off from the timeline in the books and having Jaime in King's Landing isn't going to really impact the forthcoming events.

They only had the one time in the one place after the one thing and then it was over. He moved on. HBO is a joke, they just want to put sex on tv. There was no need of the scene with Oberyn to begin with and I don't know what grabbing some dude's junk has to do with his character development as it stated nothing except shock value.

I don't think it would be any different to him grabbing a woman, and the books (and show) noted he got around a fair bit. I felt the way they treated him in that episode set him up nicely - which is what they were probably aiming for in the first episode. They didn't really set up anything vital for the future, but seemed to focus on properly introducing him, and personally I feel like the show introduced him better than the books.

Just saw the preview for the next episode, and it definitely looks like the Royal Wedding. These next few weeks should be a fun way of waiting out the NFL draft.

If what I think is going to happen happens this week, I'm excited for the uninitiated.

I feel like a twist is coming at the wedding and I am pumped for it. No clue what is going to happen but that seems to be what they are building towards

Right after Joffrey and Margaery say their vows. Book it.

This is definitely a night to tune in.  I think they've hinted at what's going to happen a bit too much with scenes that weren't in the book though, although I doubt they'll reveal anything tonight.

I'm assuming you didn't read the books.

To all the uninitiated, do you know who actually did it?  I think they've made it abundantly clear in the show.

I am fairly sure I know who it is. Tyrion ;)

You think Cersei killed him?

Are you throwing me off the scent?

At first I thought his new wife did it but in the "next on" portion she said that she was supposed to be queen. I'm assuming since they didn't consummate the marriage, she is not queen now. So the mom is queen by default?

So yes. The mom. For now. Until I rethink it without vino.

Yeah, you need to rethink that one.  The one thing they've tried to push as Cersei's redeeming quality is that she loves her children.

I'm going to be really disappointed if no one figures it out with all the foreshadowing.

I'm rewatching the whole episode now on HBO Go, I don't think they showed enough to base it solely off of that though.

It bothers me that Bronn is training with Jaime.  It's supposed to be Ilyn Payne because his tongue has been cut out.

The last person I remember see touch it was his bride.

I suppose they have to mix it up a la Walking Dead

The goblet was sitting on the table just before Tyrion picked it up and gave it to Joffrey. Someone could have slipped something in then.

But who?

Well I know who it was or at least a very good guess and the goblet was right next to them. I think I know who is next as well

They gave away a huge clue, the murder weapon was shown with the murderer.  It's incredibly subtle though, you'll probably miss it if you don't know what to look for.

Was it the scene I just brought up with the cup by them or a different scene?

Much earlier.  Although they do kinda give it away closer to the scene as well.
