Adam Dunn

He has had at least 40 home runs in each of his last few seasons, he does not get much hits but he gets a nice number of rbi's. He would probably be cheaper than Tex. Think of some of Dunn's epic home runs he could hit on Eutaw Street.

meh i wouldn't mind him...but to tell you the truth i want a star 1b player that we brought up from our farm system or a 1b who we get thats 25 or younger...to tell you the truth, the only reason i like texiera is because he was a baltimore native but he's just too expensive and not exactly young.

A guy that almost leads the league in strikeouts, is over 30 and hits around .250 every year, no thanks. Homeruns aren't the only way to make runs. A guy who bats .285 to .300 and hits 15-25 homeruns can create the same number of runs as a 40 homerun guy who bats .250

I would hate this signing, because by the time we can compete, he will be old. Just like Albert Belle, just like Miggy... and so many more. We need to build from the inside.

Got rid of Ramon, opens the door for Weiters, hopefully he can step in early and be productive.

The only problem is the scouts say our biggest weakness in our farm system is 1b. Maybe this is the time to go after a big FA, I'm just not sold on that idea with the team how it is.

True, dunn is like 6 months older, but not a huge difference. We wouldnt need to give him 7 yrs either, but I still dont think hes worth it. Now I'm even more worried about the possibility of signing tex

Looks like the O's might try to get Dunn now since Tex is of fthe market. Wouldn't it be funny if the Yankee's don't get into the playoff's this year even after all the money they have spent this off-season.
