McGahee basically said that he is not playing well and he thinks LeRon McClain and Ray Rice are both doing a good job and should continue to play. He also said that he played like "do-do", which made me laugh.
He sounds like he is lacking self confidence. Players that go out trying to over perform usually under perform.

I may be wrong but I think we still owe him 8 million$$$ we signed him to a SEVEN year contract in 2007, which I think is stupid to do for a running back. They never last more then about 5 good years. Its one of the toughest positions to play in football I think at least.

first of all, Im happy that McGahee is stating that he knows he's not doing as good as he can play. I now know that he is a bit less egoistic than I thought.

Second of all, Im also happy that he didn't go ahead and blame the coach and not himself. Looks like Harbaugh's policy is working on McGahee, who is blaming himself and saying that the team should go with who's hot, referring to Rice and LeRon.

Also, this might be a drive for McGahee to perform harder for this sunday's match vs the steelers. I think that he'll get this chance to bounce back and prove to himself and everybody that he can play.
I'm with you, hoping he's going to break out again. He's been consistently inconsistent all year and last game wasn't so hot so maybe this will be his hot game.
Cutting or trading him would result in an $11 million dead money cap hit in 2009.
Beat me to it, McGahee will be hear next year unless he shoots himself in the thigh. Money wise there is no reason to trade him.
People keep whining and whining about him fumbling... making it sound like Willis is fumbling twice a game.

McGahee has 3 fumbles on 152 carries.
McClain has 3 fumbles on 162 carries.

Last year he had 4 fumbles on 294 carries... so I'm going out on a limb that this banged up version of McGahee is the reason to why he plays the way he does. People need to chill out and see what he can do this upcoming offseason and evaluate how he plays next year. McClain and Rice are getting the job done now... and what the hell, so is Flacco. No need to **** and whine about Willis day in day out.
YUP.
People need to get off this guys back. All this criticizing is getting on my nerves. People need to find something else to complain about.
and about the MCCLAIN, MCGAHEE argument.

MCCLAIN is NOT A RB he is a FB .. and there IS a difference.
Mcgahee IS a RB therefore he should know when to protect the ball.

Both have fumbles, both have made mistakes.

But unlike Mcgahee, Mcclain tends to pull thru when we need him the most.
I think I remeber you posting that soon to be 38 year old lorenzo neal should be put in the RB rotation next season...now your bringing up the point that Mcclain is in fact a FB, and not a RB and should not know how to protect the ball.

So basically, your saying since Mcclain is listed as a FB its more acceptable for him to fumble.

sorry for the double post everyone.

NO, basically im saying Mcclains fumbles have yet to turn into TD'S for opposing teams! I never said mcclain doesnt need to work on his fumbling. but Mcgahee has other issues.. health for 1 and hes not getting yardage that he should be.. and I NEVER SAID lorenzo neal should be put in rotation NEXT SEASON.. but yes.. i said maybe he should be a little more THIS SEASON. i said we still have him THIS SEASON...
p.s its not COOL to critisize other fans opinions...

So mcgahee is a bad back because his fumble went for a touchdown, when mclain's fumbles haven't?
Luck Factor much?

And mcgahee's health would explain his poor YPC. In my opinion Mcgahee is a better back than Rice, and Mcclain. (being he has speed and power) Maybe not this year, BUT this is just a bad year for him...like he admitted.

Oh and I guess I just made up that you said lorenzo neal should be put in the RB rotation.
It's not nice to call people liars. <_<

"I just cant get over Mclain n Rice.
One sledge hammer and a mini bowling ball...
With that 1 - 2 punch, how bad do we need willis after this year (especially considering his contract)
I would dump Mcgahee and grab a #1 Receiver.."

I said that on here is sept., I knew this was going to happen. Willis is a bum. Sorry. Let's move on.

Well everything you have said about him is bad. So why should I assume otherwise? Yeah he is having a bad year not only do I believe that but he does as I mentioned in my previous post.

I believe his exact words were "I've been playing like do-do"

I am not downing anyone. Your downing players on the team. And by players I mean Mcgahee.
CONSTANTLY.

And if I have been rude in any way it wasn't intentional. I am Sorry.
