Do you guys feel Harbaugh and Ozzie were in unison on a exact WR they want to get or more of a players style? I have seen multiple people debate that.

It kind of feels like they agree on a certain player in the draft, but they are being vague so no one knows what player they are talking about.

I don't think Dick Cass has answered a question yet lol

He did comment on additional pending upgrades in the stadium which would make a more pleasurable experience for the ticket buyers.

Not necessarily, but I do know what you mean. A 3rd and long could be a bit more spread out, for example. But I think they want someone who has good hands and a strong body for those contested catches. Which does double up really.

Yeah I was operating under the assumption that a guy like you mentioned is who we're targeting.  Either way, I'd do everything I could to bring in as many 6'6+ UDFA TE's and let them battle it out and see if any of them stick as a pure red zone threat.  I'd love a guy like Fauria from Detroit.

Not specifically, but I think they like the idea of this 3rd down guy we take doubling as an EZ threat. I could be extending what I heard to what I want to hear though.

Hopefully they take a great slot guy with good hands and the ability to get yards after the catch. I really think if the Ravens resign Pitta and with marlon brown and some wrinkles in the passing game the red zone offense can get touchdowns. Brown was coming off an ACL tear and an undrafted rookie and still scored 7 TDs...I'm excited to see what he can do with a full off-season and with some added upper body strength. We've already seen he can go up and get it, so a guy on the inside to run quick outs and crossing routes with Pitta in the slot could be huge

Yup, though right now I wanna smack him a bit for comparing rising ticket prices to rising gas prices in that we still drive anyway.  Apples and oranges dude!

Seems pretty clear they said "type" of WR.

If they are chasing a free agent, I will bet the farm it is Hakeem Nicks....which would be incredibly ironic to me on a personal level, since Nicks is the guy I wanted to draft, and almost threw up when we took Oher instead.

It'll be really interesting to see what they do. They could go for a WR2 (Davante Adams would be my thinking. Can't see anyone they'd like that much in the first round tbh), or a slot receiver (Jarvis Landry makes a lot of sense and should be there in the middle of the second. Heck, we could probably put Beckham in the slot and get some fun wrinkles going), or go for one of the athletic TEs to keep up our 2TE sets and give LBs nightmares leading up to Ravens fixtures.

I thought the ravens would be looking for new receiver coach and offensive line coach and its alittle disappointing to know Jim Hostler and Juan Castillo will be back.  I wonder if Jim Caldwell will be offensive coordinator as well?

Exactly! Take a good look at how our receivers have progressed since they have been here, their route running and getting separation is all but avg. But their go routes are good...sarcasm! Change is needed at this position, bring in all the receivers you want, if their not coached well they will be avg. at best.

I'll still not buy that Castillo belongs here, by him not adjusting to the players we had(before being told to change) tells me he is as stubborn as Cam was. While I know players are asked all the time to adapt and learn new thing's , what happens when a coach does not want to learn and adapt to his players...which is worst for the team..? IMO the coach is worse because they start to lose the players on the field like it or not.

OC...Is it Caldwell or is it Harbs or is it Joe or the old conspiracy theory that Harbs wants Castillo as the new OC. Only they know, but whoever is working with Joe really needs to sit him down and ask just what he sees when reading the D before the snap. For the people that are going to slam me for bringing up Joe come on now...take off those purple glasses just for a second. How many times has he not called out the Safety moving towards the line, how many throws into double and triple coverage when the short routes were there. Yes the Oline was terrible this year for some reason or another but there were many times he did this and was not under pressure. This goes back to years in past, all I would like to see as a fan is work on these things coaches, get answers and stop doing the same things and expect different results.

Dean P. while I agree that there were games where the D's wheels came off at the end, I also ask how many times can the D be asked to hold a team let alone a team that has so many weapons on their O. They're bound to start falling off on production when our O goes 3 and outs on a regular bases. Dean does need to become more creative on his schemes, but all in all I'm ok with him.

Being Mr negative...What I watched this year deserves all the Negative they get. This franchise started something here it's called play like a Raven. That goes for coaches as well, this team needs a new receivers coach, new O line coach and maybe a more creative OC and DC.

Some times change is good no matter what kind of change it is  and those that are afraid of change may never  reach the level they desire . I always thought that if the ravens wanted to have a  better offense  then they would need better coaches . The main problem with our offense is  that it lacks creativity' and intelligence  but such problems has to start with the coaching staff especially knowing that Jim Caldwell wasn't the only one forming offensive game plans.

I am a little disappointed that Castillo and Hostler will be around for another season with the ravens especially knowing they were the ones involved in creating the mess The ravens had on offense but all of that doesn't matter if they decide to make changes at the offensive coordinator position.

Well, it doesn't matter who's cooking if the recipe sucks.

He's just injured so often.  I like him a lot, but how many games are we going to get out of him?  I think another possible option could be James Jones.  He probably fits the cost profile we'd be willing to use.

Im not sure why everyone is so excited and positive. I don't do mock drafts but even I know it is going to take 2 or three drafts to get starting caliber offensive lineman. there is nothing in free agency that's why we got stuck with McKinnie . the oline is not going to be fixed this offseason and we are sticking with a scheme that is an abject failure for the ravens. ozzie has no intention of selecting a first round wide receiver he only every drafts for the injured reserve . juice is a full back we need wideouts who can catch run routes and have good hands this year not next year  or the year after. they are not committed to winning why is everyone so excited . we will not be competitive for 3-5 years or more. these forums go nuts after one loss we are talking more losing seasons

Edelman as our slot receiver would be huge and help push our offense to new levels.

 Really...

we just had a losing season  they knew going in 7-9 games it would take to install zbs it didn't work and they are recommitting themselves to it again this year. that's not winning. u can not draft 2 starting guards, 2 starting tackles, and a center  and expect things to be any different then last year. first off your not going to get that many starting lineman from one draft . anyone who starts a rookie center , not named jerry jones, is not intelligent . gino was lost  so we are gonna draft a bigger center and what have the same thing happen again.

ozzie is going to draft  a starting wr good route runner , good hands, can fight for the ball . how many first round picks do we have and when in ozzies history of drafting wideouts has he ever got a good one. torrey was the first wr in 20 drafted receivers  to go over 1000 yards. no oline we can't win . and we can't draft 5 starting olineman with one first round pick at 16 or 17

edelman is a high football IQ player.

NO disrespect to our current crop of WR but they are not high level in that regard. Boldin and Mason were

The only thing they really left unclear was the plan with Caldwell.  If he doesn't get another job, what do they do with him?  They kind of skirted around this, so I think they may be moving on from him either way.  I think the only reason he's still around is they want to give him the courtesy of potentially moving on his own terms if he gets a HC job rather than firing him.

If Caldwell isn't around next year as OC, I'm interested to see who's they're going to look at. I'm not sure if they mentioned that in the presser, I must have missed it.

In all fairness, look at the QBs that were throwing to them.

Because Gino was a rookie right? He sure had a full season to sit behind and learn from Birk. I'd say that is indeed an intelligent move albeit it didn't pan out as expected.
