Yeah that's not Evans.

At first when I watched him play I was all like...

Me. I'm moving up to get Watkins. I ain't got nothing to loose. I need a playmaker. To keep it interesting. At least one.  I'm cutting all scrubs that sit in ice tubes during those games that count. They sell Icy hot outside the stadium as well.  See you sucker would be on his last pay check.

They can only afford to move up if they re-sign all the players on the team that they want to keep so I see a move up as highly unlikely.

I saw an article on NFL.com talking about how Danny Amendola of the Patriots could possibly be a cap casualty for them this year seeing as how Julian Edelman, who cost way less, produced way more for them and Amendola greatly failed to live up to the expectations his contract set for him as a Wes Welker type of player. I know it sounds stupid to ask this as he had a pretty bad season, but would anybody be up for signing him if he became a casualty? And can anyone explain to me how much money would the team acquiring have to pay of his last contract or would it only be the Patriots paying him the money from the previous contract? He showed some flashes but he is very inconsistent both on the field and health wise. If he can find a way to improve on staying healthy though, he could pay off with a more appropriate contract.

No, I wouldn't want to sign Amendola but, I was also against signing Stokley and Clark so who's to say what the FO might see as an advantage. I still think young and inexpensive is the key.

He definitely rubs the wrong way. I also don't see him as consistent move the chains type WR. He's more of a downfield threat which isn't necessarily a bad thing, I just don't think its what we need right now.

Agreed, we don't really need a deep ball threat because of Torrey.....But I would like to know where that went all of last year hah

Offensive line. Teams shadowing Torrey because he had a rookie on the other side. No TE, and a terrible running game.

Take your pick

I'm on board with taking Jared Abbrederis. I know he's not the sexy WR people crave but he's going to be a star from what I've seen. I think we could get him in the third or fourth round as well due to how deep this class is.

Will he produce for us his first year or do you think he becomes a star in 3 years?

James Jones? Too expensive?

That could work. He's young and shouldn't cost very much, seeing as he's never had a 1,000 yard season in his career. If we're looking to sign a FA WR he should be one of the highest players on the list.

I'm not sure. I think he could very well produce his first year, though I feel he might take a year to really breakout. The benefit he has is that he is a very good route runner so his transition should theoretically be smoother.

Ok so after getting high off of that crazy Mike Evans performance, then taking a step back to reevaluate, I've come to the conclusion that if Evans is around with our 17th pick, he is a steal.  He is exactly the kind of reciever we need, my only concern is his route running and attitude as a whole.  Did you see his wingspan and jump height?  Not to mention his catching and jumping performances.  If we get him I would be instantly excited, if we get a TE, I will be excited, if we get a defender or lineman, I know it's not sexy, but I'll be happy with it.  Quite honestly, I hope we don't trade down.  When is the last time we got a chance to snag a top teir rookie, and God willing, we won't be in this good of a situation again.  I would rather grab a superstar player early on, than get two (or more) good but not elite players later in the draft.  We may not get this opportunity again.
