We need someone like Boldin, that reliability. Personally, I wouldn't draft a WR but trade or sign for one. We need a wr who can make plays after catching the pass because we rarely throw deep, a wr who we can rely on, and someone with a clean injury history.

I heard so much about this guy but when i watched him play i saw a guy whom struggled against physical cornerbacks, he's not a good route runner, probably should have stayed in school to work on his craft, yes he can be physical but it seem like when the opposing cornerback is just as physical he will try stunts like pushing the cornerback down which is a penalty in the nfl, he has deceptive speed but he may have a hard time gaining separation in the nfl atleast in his rookie year, and he overall pretty raw . I think there are some risk in drafting Mike Evans in the first round because he's raw but The Ravens will have to have full faith in their receiver coach to help bring this kid up(Ozzie called him the one of the best receiver coach).

He is not polished like Lee is, but hey, Brandon Marshall and Vincent Jackson (the guys Evans iss most compared to) don't exactly run crisp routes or blow past defenders either.

HAving Boldin and CJ will also improve our run game. Great Blockers. Evans can block pretty okay too. We want to become a smashmouth team? well thats the way. We get an O linesman in the 2nd Round.

This isn't a "who do you want us to get thread"? Rather a what kind of WR do you think WR should get?

WR is a huge need(duh). But what kind? Some will say possession WR(Boldin esq dude. Matthews, Nicks) Others will say big body WR. (Cooper, Benjamin, Evans, Barden), some will say playmaker(Lee, Watkins, Beckham).

Me? Well what do Manning, Brees, Rodgers, and Brady all have in common.

They have a tough slot WR that will go over the middle and take a hit, but still have the chance to make a big play afterwards.

I think we are missing a little quickie slot WR, and it's obvious Marlon can't be that.

I may have us getting Beckham Jr, but I'm also an advocate for us getting a Hawkins, a Brandin Cooks. A little out WR.

Eric decker and Hakeem nicks FAs some other good wrs also dont know but we need a big name WR to open the field up.

Question is, would Q want to come back after being tossed to San Francisco?  He'd own negotiations from start to finish for what Baltimore did then probably burn us when he's needed most.  He'd be justified in doing it too.  Too much young talent in the draft to look back.  Be nice to nab Mike Evans or another physical receiver.

Yes.. we do. I'm sorry but what potent offense doesn't have a legitimate threat at receiver? Honestly.

I'm absolutely not saying the offense is completely dependent on such a commodity, or that it's vital to being a playoff caliber team, but honestly it's near impossible to do so without an offense featuring a stud.

I really hope Ozzie doesn't take his normal route of putting the offensive weight on some fourth round, fifth round pick who is never going to be a great receiver and hoping he develops well. Getting a reliable physical stud is necessary. Someone who can come in and win the starting job from day 1, no doubts.

If we draft a 1st round receiver it should be Evans or nobody, someone who can move the chains and open up the field for Torrey.

Remember why Anquan was given away to San Fran, deep down I don't think the Ravens really wanted to get rid of him otherwise John Harbaugh wouldn't have pushed him directly to his brotherat a give away price. It was more about cap space, it became too obvious that the team missed him as the season went on and I think Harbaugh and Ozzie have to regret sending Boldin away because IMO missing a playmaker like him was the difference in the Ravens sitting at home for the playoffs and being there even if they wouldn't actually get to the Super Bowl 48. The Ravens also had to see what they had on their depth chart and they obviously found out what a lot of us already knew, not much behind Torrey, Anquan, and Jacoby.

How the Ravens should play it is try to get Anquan back with the team in order to use the first round pick on something other than a WR, if not then you use that 1st round pick and if you have to trade up to get the proper guy at WR you do it. In this game the Wide Reciever position is extremely important to success. I like Kelvin Benjamin's Megatron size and he's probably a solid 1st round pick, Sammy Watkins is the best but there would have to be a trade up into the Top 10 to get him I believe. I'm not 100% sold on Mke Evans myself, but that doesn't mean he might not be a good pick. Ideally though I'd rather have Anquan back and use the first round pick on an Offensive line cornerstone for the next decade or a Defensive front 7 guy that will be a difference maker that the team seems to be starting to lack.

You don't think Lee could do that?

The more I think about this the more I think a Wes Welker type receiver would help us the most. Other types certainly have the ability to help us, but a quick, sure handed, extremely tough, slot receiver who has the ability to run slants and other middle of the field routes, and also has the ability to make yards after the catch, moving the chains; man, that sounds like a guy we could really use. With our OL's pass protection problems, Joe could quickly get rid of the ball to a guy like that and just let him make plays. Just like Wes Welker has done for both Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. When have we had a guy like that? And there's a Real good one Just like that available in this year's draft. His name is Brandon Cooks out of Oregon State. The only thing is, I'm a bit afraid he will not fall to us at 16/17 of the second round. And there are so many good bigger guys that will probably go in the first round, the Ravens would have a scary decision to make. If all these big name guys go in round one, without us grabbing one, and someone grabs Cooks before our second round pick, who's left? I've heard of a couple similar type receivers, but none the quality of Cooks. This guy, despite his size, has Never missed a game to injury from Pop Warner through his college career. That's an amazingly tough guy. And I think I read that he had 19 TDs this past season. If that's right, that's pretty amazing too!

I'd rather pick Michael Campanero

I think he will - I think at least 6 receivers and 3 TEs will come off the board before him.  He's probably the smallest of the 1st-2nd round graded receivers, and the way teams draft that will hurt him.  I also think he'll run about a 4.5 40-time, which again will not make his stock rise much.

why would we pay boldin now ? Why would he come back here now anny ways dont forget we also have Marlon Brown

boldin would only be a rental and would hinder Marlons development

No to boldin, Lee can run the route tree. Why have another project receiver, when Lee already was in a NFL offense and is a solid route runner

I think we need a playmaker like Marquise Lee. He reminds me a lot of Percy Harvin. Somebody that is a threat to score when lined up on the outside or in the slot. He's also a dangerous return man as well.

Lee wouldn't be a complement to Torrey since they're similar.

How is that? Please elaborate? I see a few differences in their game
