The Bills have agreed to a long term contract with a Safety... not named Byrd. Aaron Williams who moved to S last year has agreed to a 4-year $26M with $14M guaranteed. It seems the Bills have made their decision, they paid Williams over Byrd and got him for cheaper opposed to what Byrd will get next week.

Reminds me of the Steelers when they chose Brown over Wallace. I think both teams made the right decision.

The Steelers are doing some extensions of their own. Both Mr. Head and Shoulders, and Heath Miller got two year extensions through the 2016 season. While I totally understand extending Troy and keeping him a Steeler for life. The Miller extension confuses me. He will be 32, only contributed to 593 yards and 1 TD for the entire 2013 season. Plenty of young talented TEs in this year's draft. Guess the Steelers want to keep the team old and slow.

So I guess we will have to deal with Troy Polamalu for the next couple seasons...he got a 2 year extension.

Jameel McClain is garnering a lot of interest around the league, kind of surprising considering that nasty spine injury he is coming off of.

Cortland Finnegan was released, and based on what Rapoport is saying their might be some disagreement between the FO and coaches on this move.

The Steelers also released some guys including Larry Foote.

What do you guys think of Finnegan?

As Crush said, he was really bad last year, but he's a bounce back candidate.  I don't think he was ever as good as his contract suggested, but I don't think how bad he was last year is the norm.

Brandon Browner is officially reinstated, but has to serve a 4 game suspension at the beginning of the season.

Also he loses pay for the following 4 games after that 4 games suspension

That's dookie.  How can you let a guy play but not pay him?

Vick is not returning to the Eagles in 2014

Mike Vick will not be back with the Eagles in any capacity in 2014. They are moving in a different direction with the backup role

Why would he? That would be a huge mistake considering all the calls he will get once free agency starts.

This news has not been confirmed, but appears likely. I'm a big fan of Nick Foles and I think he will offer much more than Vick ever will. Just look at his stats in 2013. While starting only ten games he threw for 27 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. It's possible that me may not be able to maintain that production, but look for him to be at least as good as McNabb.

Well yeah the Eagles are going to start Foles so Vick will try to be a starter somewhere else if he is smart.

One of Vick's biggest problems is durability. He hasn't played a full 16 games since 2006 and, at this stage in his career, I think he may best serve himself and whatever team he is on by being a backup. It seems that it would just be far too much to ask him to be a reliable 16 game starter, which he hasn't done for any team in six seasons, counting the two he spent in jail.

Besides, he has never really been "elite" at all. And at this point it's not as if he is going to get any better.

I don't know, could see him landing in the polis tbh...

The Colts have signed Free Agent LB D'Qwell Jackson per Schefter.

called it, it just felt like Pagano would have a go at scooping him up lol

Davin Joseph anyone?...he is up for trade

6 mil cap number is high for him, they will probably cut him if they can't get a deal since he has no dead money. Then we could make a push to sign him for cheaper or if he goes at a price that is too high, we just don't get him.

I wish we still had him. Chuck could go over to the Cowboys, who have the worst defense in the league, and by two years they would be in the top 10.
