Transition tag numbers are a bit lower than the franchise tag.  It allows the team to match any offer from another team.  Basically it is like RFA.

Yeah except there's no compensation.  Still surprised that the Steelers tagged Worilds with how little cap space they have.  All it takes is one team to front load and they can't match it.

I wouldn't bid on him at all. Let the Steelers pay that money for him and limit them in other areas.

I wouldn't, but I know some teams were high on him and could decide to make an offer that the Steelers can't match.  I'm surprised they did it.  Despite how much he improved, they invested into Jarvis Jones.

True, it only takes 1 team to be interested.

Alex Mack got the transition tag, which I believe means Cleveland can match offers.

yeah they said months ago that they're willing to play the "matching any offer" game...

No team fully understands restructuring. I read that Dallas also restructured Romo as well. I guess because the cap is going up in the next two years, we will see more restructures as teams will feel they can handle pushing it back.

What other choice do they have?  They gave everyone too much guaranteed money to actually cut them.  The only way to fix it at this point is to just do a complete overhaul when a few of these contracts start running out to where they at least have a little cap room, which seems like it'll be 10 years from now based on all of this restructuring.  At that point, they just have to cut everyone and eat the dead money.

They also restructured Romo, clearing $10M in cap space.

Jason Snelling joins Gonzo and wanders into the sunset...retires at age 30.

Snelling was still pretty good...wasn't he? Anyway, it's not like anybody can beat Glen Coffee.

Yea he didn't do too much over his career but was a pretty good dual threat RB down the stretch. If only Terell Owens had this mentality, yet he STILL is trying to make a comeback.

According to Brandon Browner's twitter he is being reinstated by the NFL. Surprising considering what some were saying further punishment could be.

Sounds like the NFL caved to the fact that his missed drug tests came when he wasn't even in the league.  It's pretty ridiculous that he got suspended for that, but technically, his rights were still with the NFL.

A WR with sure hands is on the market

Eagles release Jason Avant

And this is what I came here for. I wouldn't mind Avant for the right price. Sure handed slot guy who shouldn't command too much money. High character guy as well. Could fit Ozzies right guy, right price slogan and was cut so wouldn't affect our picks.

Where will D'Qwell go?

Broncos, Dolphins, Colts, or Titans?

I say the Broncos. Which sucks for me.

I don't know, could see him landing in the polis tbh...
