Ha and people flipped around here when we didn't get him

I chuckled that the steelers spent what they did on him, we get all the use we could out of him then let him go.

Yeah RB is such a deep position, I would rather just get a rookie who is fresh and for less money.

Hell jonas gray was undrafted and not even first choice in college yet we got him for a bag of donuts as his salary and he scores 4 tds, RB is an expendable position for most. Only Lynch, peterson, charles and gore and worth spending big on.

Rumor has it the Ravens put in a claim for Tate. I could see it happening with Pierce being cut.

source?

sneaky way to get their playbook...

Interesting, and I could see it with the Kubiak connection.  I did see on Twitter that some team before the Colts at 21 put in a claim, and we're at 19.  That's still 18 other teams ahead of us, though.

I'd be fine with claiming him

As would I.  He's injury prone and a bit of a diva it seems, but we pretty much have the same thing in Pierce right now… difference being that Tate has actually been moderately successful in Kubiak's offense.

I'd be surprised if he isn't a Colt in next 24hrs.

It's been reported that a team before the Colts put in a claim.

How do they set the order on a waiver wire?

Reverse of the standings, so basically the same as the draft order.

That's what I thought but

"I did see on Twitter that some team before the Colts at 21 put in a claim"

confused me a bit - I read it as Colts having a 21st spot.

The Colts are 21st in the waiver order.  We're 19th.  Just to clarify lol.

Hrmf. Something's wrong with that math then. They lost divisional round last year, haven't they? Doesn't that make them 8th best team (at the worst) for last year and therefore 25th (at the best) for waiver order?

Okay I get what you're saying now.  It's the reverse standings as of now.  I was just saying that it's determined like the draft order.  Hopefully that clears it up.

I think they update the order every week.

Ah, right.

Thanks, not confused any longer.

Jason Cole is saying that one of the top 5 teams in the order will be claiming Tate. Raiders, Jags, Bucs, Jets, or Titans.

I'm not sure I would've been happy with us claiming him. I don't see how he would help us unless he can play CB. We haven't exactly struggled to run the ball expect possibly in the end zone and he's not really that kind of back.

I wouldn't have minded it, but I'm not sad that he's not coming here either. I'm personally just done with Pierce at this point and I think Tate would have at least been a better option than him.

I can second that. I'm really glad you mentioned this. I haven't been impressed with his running recently but something that really made an impression on me was his attitude against, I think, Pittsburgh. He had his arms crossed and looked upset. He was also a healthy scratch. I'm trying not to read into it but that doesn't resemble sometime who is a team player. I cab appreciate the competitor excuse but even then it's a bad sport to me. I don't think the coaches like him. He seems like a diva for sure after that display, at least to me he does.

That's a bummer. Makes sense for the Titans as their backfield could use some talent. I think I was more excited about possibly dumping Pierce than picking up Tate.

I bet it is the Raiders or the Titans.  Denard Robinson is playing well for the Jags and they signed Gerhart.  Bucs have Doug Martin, Bobby Rainey and Charles Sims.  Jets have Chris Ivory and Chris Johnson.

Apart from getting inside knowledge on Browns playbook, I don't really see much advantage of bringing Tate for Pierce. If BP is done, I'd rather give a shot to Toussaint.

And I don't ever want to see someone like Blount in purple and black.
