Apparently, if the Redskins are to trade Kirk Cousins, the price is a second round pick.

A little steep, wouldn't you say?

I reckon they want to get as many high picks as they can considering they've taken out the fun parts of this year's draft and it sounds like future drafts are only going to get diluted.

Then again, it's probably just as much setting a high price to negotiate lower.

I hate to burst the Boldin bubble for all those who wanted him back(and I even wanted him back). Per Schefter, he is staying in San Francisco.

Doesn't sound like Anquan Boldin going anywhere. Two sides closing in on deal to keep Boldin in SF, per sources. Deal expected to get done.

I can't really blame him. I don't think we ever should have gotten rid of him in the first place.

It seems with the increase in Salary cap teams are going to use it, on extending their own players. Joining the Ravens(Suggs), and 49ers(Boldin) are the Eagles who have extended LT Jason Peters through the 2018 season. The new deal is worth $41.3M with $19.55M guaranteed.

That's pathetic. He was one of the few really good players on the team (and still fairly young). You don't get rid of good players, you build around them. Who are they going to cut next, Joe Thomas?

Weren't several players including Thomas very angry and upset about firing Chud after a year? Not only did they cut Jackson but that may just make Ward and Mack not want to come back either. They may even demand a trade whichever they use the Tag on.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they cut Thomas but if I'm Thomas I'm on the phone with my agent right now telling the Browns to find a trade partner.

Chud took a 5-11 team and directed them to a 4-12 record, therefore I don't really blame Cleveland for letting him go. Since the reactivation of the Browns in 1999 (I know we hear that phrase often), they have continuously been plagued by a lack of offense, specifically a host of terrible QBs and a lack of WRs. It's sometimes difficult to believe that the 8 coaches that they've had in those 15 seasons have never been able to fix that.

But anyway, dismantling the strength of the team (its defense) is not going to help.

The Eagles are working to sign their own players to contracts. From PFT, WR Riley Cooper is expected to sign a 4-year contract tomorrow that will take him off the market.

Rumor is that the Eagles will try to sign WR Jeremy Maclin to a one year "prove it" type of deal as well.

Update: The Eagles have signed Riley to a 5 year deal worth $25M, while they have also signed C Jason Kelce to a 6 year contract worth $37.5M. According to Rotoworld this now means the Eagles O-line is locked in through 2016. Talk about having the same o-line for years to come.

With the cap going up like this, it could be the most active free agency in a while.

I honestly like a high salary cap. It makes things more interesting.

Not the greatest news for us either - more teams in the market for Monroe.

They don't have anywhere near enough cap space, they're intent on bringing back Hardy.

Riley Cooper...the lesser version of Bran Hartline. #overrated

I don't think he's overrated at all. I haven't heard anymore about him than what his stats warrant, with the exception of a certain incident in the summer which shall not be discussed.

He is a fluky player, half of his stats came from 3 games where he put up huge numbers against crummy defenses.

Donald Butler re-signed with the Chargers.  That takes another name off of the ILB list.  Let's get a deal done with Daryl too.

Feeling blessed! Y'all heard it here first! Deal is done!! SD I aint going no where!! Too excited!!
