Panthers are officially left with two no name receivers as their starters. They just happen to have a great season and be in the playoffs meaning they are out of range for a top true number one receiver but as we know, this class is deep in WR.

I bet their fans are not happy.  It's like they want to sink back in mediocrity, or they really believe in the Seattle approach.  That is a possibility.  I don't like Cam as the focal point of the franchise.  If they can run and play good defense they might still be alright.

Is it my imagination or is Sanders bad? You guys would know better than me, but everytime I watch a Steeler game he seems to do something completely stupid that blows them the game. I swear I've seen that at least 3 times.

 

Not impressed with that signing. Feels like Elway just slinging money at a wall and hoping something sticks for the Manning window

That's my take on him. Very low football iq. He is always running the wrong route. Making a poor decision.

My mistake. Been on the road all day. Last I saw they were at an impass. So Edelman-lafell-Britt. Maybe better than last year. Still underwhelming.

Comparing the Seattle signings or Ravens signings or Pats signings to the Denver signings is laughable right now. I mean Talib getting paid what he got and Ware getting 10 mil per. Denver did well with TJ Ward but they are probably the Dolphins of this year. I know they are all in on Manning but they should at least be a little smarter with their money. It is kinda funny to watch.

Denver did well with TJ Ward but they are probably the Dolphins of this year. I know they are all in on Manning but they should at least be a little smarter with their money. It is kinda funny to watch.

 

TJ Ward is a pure run defending/in the box safety IMO.  I don't think he's that great in coverage and I think he got overpaid as well.

Yup. We're all laughing at them at the Patriots forum.

The funny thing about Denver fans is they don't watch football outside of the Broncos, so they don't know who any of these people are. They sign someone they have never heard of before, watch a youtube clip of highlights, then declare Elway a genius. It's really sad. They think Revis is a "minimal upgrade" over Talib. Craziness. Revis is a once a generation talent.

 

Elway's obsession with stealing our players did us a HUGE favor when he snatched up Talib.

I expect their FA binge to be a huge bust outside the TJ Ward pick up which isn't game breaking

Trying to update Madden 25, curse you BB for finding a way to put Browner/Revis on your team without exceeding the salary cap! I have lowered both Revis/Browner's ratings as low as possible but still nothing. Rest of free agency transactions going fine but even Madden doesn't allow such a secondary!

A lot of that was injuries. Keep in mind Denver has never beaten us with Gronk on the field. Our rookies also got injured, and so did Vereen. We had a six game stretch where we were bringing in people off the street to play WR.

 

Plus this years draft is really deep for WRs and TEs. We need offensive line too...

 

It is an upgrade over someone I'm sure, but 3M a year? Ewww.

We got something like $9 or $10 million left.  Ozzie is usually quiet in FA, we've actually been noisy for us.  He'll wait to pounce on the value guys in a few days.

Well the Aqib Talib contract is actually more like a 1 year deal...only $11.5 of the deal is guaranteed....the 2015 and 16 guaranteed money is reserved for a season ending or career ending injury so if the Broncos see a decline in play or need the cap space they can cut ties with him next season.

 

John Elway is actually a pretty respectable GM and knows they should be able to get right back to the super bowl with these moves.
