Im still shocked Oakland overpaid for Rodger Saffold in the first place..he would have been badly dominated next as a LT, and accompanied with the injuries he will probably get...he is not worth it at all.

Oakland has the opportunity to land either Greg Robinson or Jake Mathews in the draft if their lucky and they signed RT Austin Howard. So all is not lost.... for a franchise that is already lost.

Honestly the Raiders should probably go after Decker. They need a solid possesion type guy and Decker can be that. Denarious Moore is a good enough speed threat. They probably should get a guys like Wharton and Colon to stop gap the guard spots so they can develop some in house talent there via the draft for a year or 2, draft Greg Robinson.

Defensively, they need all the help they can get, but other than Robinson/Matthew, Id be hitting the d line every time.

So what you're telling me is you made an improvement at a position you were already good at for ONE SEASON and spent MORE MONEY than you were already paying the other guy instead of using that money to address deficiencies on your roster.

Typical a member of the Davis family embarrassing us even more

According to a Raiders source Mark Davis pulled plug on Saffold deal. Could have had surgery and been ready for training camp. Mark said no

No. We dropped an injury prone good cornerback for the best shut down corner since Deion Sanders. Revis Island! The man can shut down his entire half of the field. Just admit this was an awesome move for a Patriot team that seldomly drops cash in FA. Best and most impactful Patriot FA signing since Randy Moss.

BOOM.

FWIW, I think it's a great move because he won't count against the Patriots' comp picks and he will likely generate a 2015 compensatory selection.

So, so we basically traded an injury prone Talib for a draft pick and the best cornerback in the league.

We might be cutting Wilfork too for some more cap space.

Where he'll fade into obscurity with 0 talent around him.

Yeah probably, be curious to see what he goes for. I am just glad we didn't get him, I think he is going to go for too much.

Go ahead. I'd love for the Ravens to sign Wilfork. That would be awesome.

Yeah, essentially that's what the Patriots did. It's a brilliant move in my mind. I think that it will be a very good return for them from a production and a profit standpoint. It just makes sense. Granted, Revis might not get a huge deal next year--who knows. But I do think he'll get a nice enough deal. At worst he'll probably be a 4th round pick. At best a 3rd. Bill knows how to get production out of good DBs, too, from what I've seen. He's taken terrible CB talent and he's made something out of it--even if it wasn't that good.

Good move for your team. Congrats. I won't lie. I wish we signed Revis.

Its a good move, I just don't think it makes you significantly better than you already were.

So Decker went from Peyton Manning and a massive amount of offensive talent around him to spread mediocre defenses out in a soft schedule to.... Geno Smith, no offensive line, no offensive talent, in a division that has a TON of defensive talent. Bills have a good defense, Dolphins have a top 5 corner, and the Pats have Revis lol.

Wouldn't pick him for a fantasy team lol

Darelle Revis is just as injury prone as Talib though...and last time I checked he can't catch passes from Timmy Brady. You guys have no WRs and that caused your offense to come up short in a ton of games last year.

We haven't had a corner or a defense that a corner like Revis can help create since Ty Law.

Talib is good but he's soft and he's always limping off the field.

You might get your shot at Wilfork. If we keep him he'll eat up (i think) 12M in salary cap and it doesn't sound like he's restructuring. He's also 34 years old, 400 pounds and coming off an ACL tear. Kind of suspect we're going to get rid of him.

Eric Decker is going to have a tough road a head of him...Im not sure he will be able to take on the double teams he will be constantly getting. Baybay and Welker aint there anymore to take the majority of the coverage away...and you have gone from a General to a cub scout throwing you the ball.
