Not disagreeing but unless you have some serious talent at outside corner, you usually leave outside corners outside (unless situational football dictates otherwise).

Edit: Jacoby's deal really upsets me in light of what Schwartz got.

I think we could improve a bit on Webb on the outside...he has been burned quite a few times by bigger outside WRs. I would really love us to sign Cromartie although thats a bit of a pipe dream. He and Jimmy could shutdown the outside and Webb could focus on the slot.

Honestly Id rather us go for Revis than Cromartie and his 9 kids. Cromartie's effort has always been a question mark. If Ryan couldn't get consistency out of him, we won't be able to. At least you get what you pay for with Revis.

Edit: Note I don't want Revis.

Antonio Cromartie was a tremendous player in 2012...top 5 CB who shutdown a lot of great WRs. Last year he battled constant injuries to his hip and knee which is why he declined in play although he never missed a game. He was owed to much money this year and they had to cut him loose. He is still relatively young, and could come for cheap. I think he still has plenty left int he tank.

And the years before the last 2?

Also Titans release David Stewart. Not sure if want.

Cromartie has always been a pretty decent CB even back in his early years in SD. When he went to NY he seemed to get better and better and by the time Revis left he emerged as a true shutdown CB who held his own against practically every WR who got in his way. He would be a great addition if we could get him for cheap...however Im not sure what Oz will do to address CB

David Stewart has injury flags which is the reason for his release....he has never been more than an average OT anyways,

To be fair, with Revis shadow covering, Cromartie basically should have been shutdown on #2's.

An average OT would be nice considering we've had Oher. Not saying I want him, but still

But anytime Revis was injured...which was quite frequent Cromart stepped up and always played very well. He has most definitely proven he can defend the outside. And alongside Jimmy Smith with Webb in the slot...that would be a nasty secondary.

David Stewart makes Mike Oher look like Joe Thomas...look at it that way. Stewart is nothing more than a depth guy with no starting qualities.

They apparently want Schaub. Get ready for some crazy pick 6's in the AFC North next year.

I'm holding out hope they go for vick

Other than 2012, Revis only missed 3 games in his career

As for David Stewart, Michael Oher has consistently ranked near the bottom of tackles according to pff. Literally anyone, Stewart included, would be an upgrade. Again not that I want Stewart.

Did we hit on the Chris Clemons (the Sea DE, not the Mia FS) getting released?  He's not a scheme fit at all for us, but the Seahawks saved big money on that move.

Yeah I heard about that, he is probably going to Jacksonville

It would make sense.  Seems like guys that played for him really like Gus Bradley.

Ugh 3.5 million per year for Jacoby is too much. He is an above average return man and thats it. Would have rather let him go and signed Trindon Holiday. Don't like this deal

Too much? If you think $3.5M is too much your idea of a good contract must be every player signing league min contracts with each team.

Your crazy and also how do you know Trindon would have took league min, you his agent?

You won't be complaining about Jacoby's contract when he is returning TDs for us and making plays.

Gus Bradley seemed like a likable guy from what I saw of him at the senior bowl practice.

Dumbest mentality ever. Yeah let's leave a dynasty in the making to go play for a lowly team just because my old DC is the head coach.

He should have took a pay cut to stay in Seattle and win more rings but he'll have one ring and will be a cap causality in a couple years because his production didn't match the stupid contract they gave him.

Yea Im still going to be complaining about it.

Your second statement is hilarious.

Considering that Jacoby is solely a returner for us (his situational deep threat position could be replace so easily and probably still come in at less than Jacoby's contract on top of Trindon's)

I didn't forget. I also realize we have a lot of holes with fewer than normal draft picks. Ozzie's best years drafting have a hit rate of about 50%. We have some extra cap this year that could have been used to extend the Smiths, sign a couple of linemen, make a play at Revis (lol), etc... We could have paid Schwartz and likely got supreme value (especially at that price). Asamoah would have been a nice one as well.

I just don't like Ozzie putting all his Chips in a 50/50 basket like that.

I may be wrong, but I don't think we'll have any fewer draft picks than normal.  We're going to get a very decent number of conditionals due to all of the players that were pilfered from us last off season.  I think we end up around normal, if not slightly above average.

Al woods to the titans. 2 yrs 5 mil. Really good under the radar signing. He's a guy who could replace what we lost in art jones. Really wanted him as an underrated signing.

Most will end up being comp picks which are essentially late round picks

Revis to the Pats for $12 million. Oh Billy, Billy Billy Billy.

LOL, Belichick has lost his touch. Won't trade for him at $16M but pay him $12M.

Meanwhile we get to enjoy Jimmy Smith for another two years and Seahawks get to enjoy Sherman cheap and Revis becomes a cap casualty because they can't afford him.

All we're missing is a 4th and 5th round pick?  We should get those back from the conditional picks plus a few others.
