The 49ers are trading for Jonathan Martin.  Dumb move on their part, a soft player like him is the exact opposite of one of their OL.

I imagine the media will cover this more than they should. Probably breaking news on espn right now.

Probably, it's a complete non-story.  He's an irrelevant backup on that OL.

Verner's deal with the Bucs was a bargain IMO.  No wonder they cut Revis, his VORP is really low when you can get Verner, who unlike Revis is a perfect scheme fit, for $10 million less.

Talib got paid

Yep. 6 years, $57M. Creates a good secondary after getting Ward earlier though.

That's actually about in line with Shields and Davis.  It's just a longer deal.

I'm surprised Talib got that much, and I'm also surprised that Denver has the money.  I thought they were strapped for cap space.  Do they still have enough for Ware.

Pats now expected to be a serious player for Revis.

Bill always has a plan.  They'll run away with that division just like they always do.

Wow. Denver all of a sudden has a very respectable secondary. A lot of money but he's a great player and that's huge.

They're going for it all in what seems to be Peyton's last year. I can't really blame them, but they are going to be hurting for cap real bad in a few years. Poor Brock.

Ok.. They are in win now mode...

If they can amp up their D more I'd pick them to win the SB.....

They need a speed threat before I give them favorites since that would be their only way past Seattle. They don't match up well to the Seahawks at all with their current WRs. Look what TY Hilton did to the Seahawks and imagine if Denver got a guy like that to go with DT and Welker.

Haha yeah you're right, poor Brock.

I just read it was the most guaranteed money for a CB ever. Wow.

I don't think Talib is a safe signing.  It probably isn't a good idea sending him to the state with legal weed either, considering it's still against the league code of conduct.

Putting him in Colorado with all of that weed was a terrible idea.

Beat me before I finished the edit.

Did we already hit on Donald Brown to the Chargers?

Great minds think alike. On a positive note, the Broncos may now only lose by 14 points in the SB ;)
