Every good thing they do is negated by the fact that they're paying Saffold $8M, more than all but Albert, to play G.

I agree but it's better he plays G than LT for us

Worse move of FA imo

It is a good point I'm hearing. These guys want more to stay in Oakland than they will take elsewhere.

I'm hoping the Raiders to end up signing Austin Howard after his visit today. He's a good RT.

Saffold-Wisniewski-Howard-Watson is something to work with. All young and talented.

The Saints just locked up maybe the best free safety in the game (basically between him and Thomas) for the rest of his prime.

Bucs agreed with Verner. Say bye to Revis for sure now.

Wow. I thought Verner was a patriot for sure. Verner and Tillman to go with the young guys they have. Lovie is rebuilding this defense.

Got him at a good price too.  4 years, $26.5M.

Byrd plus Vaccaro equals a great S combo. Now we know what all those cuts where for. Their offense will always be good with Brees, they just need a defense.

How are they paying him though?  Monopoly money?  I think it's a great signing overall, but that kills what little cap they had.

He's in a good draft spot as well - he might go after a QB, but he'd also be in good position to land a guy like Khalil Mack or Justin Gilbert if he really wants to bulk up his defense.

I boycott the NFL network because they have commercials every 2.5 minutes.

Drew Brees is going to pickup their tab... give Byrd the other half of his contract

I could easily see them draft Mack and roll with mccown.

Glennon's still there, too.  Lovie isn't too far removed from getting to a Superbowl with Rex Grossman, and he's actually got some talent around there offensively with Mike Williams and Vincent Jackson.  I definitely see him trying to create an East Coast version of the Seahawks.
