The playoffs are always exciting, even though we're not in them this year.  So many memorable games that I loved watching.  That shootout between Kurt Warner and Aaron Rodgers was one of the all time classic games IMO.  And that's before we get to the Super Bowls, and we've had some truly great ones over the last few years.  Cards-Steelers, Packers-Steelers, Colts-Saints, those were all classic games.

We should be in for some good ones this weekend.  Can the road Saints go toe to toe with another high scoring fast paced offense in the Eagles?  Can Kaep decimate the porous Packers defense again in the rematch?  Can the Chargers defense stop a loaded Beganls offense?  Heck, even Chiefs-Colts should be good, and those are the two worst teams in the playoffs.

It's the best time of the sports calender year.

I'm going for the Chargers all the way. I'm All-In. Might even bet some money on it in Vegas.

They can't win it with that defense.  It's really bad.

My predictions for the entire playoffs....

Wild Card:

Chiefs @ Colts: Colts. Colts defense stopped them before and they will again. Colts get first playoff win under Luck.

Saints @ Eagles: Saints needed Home Field to get them into the Super Bowl, they are horrible on the road. Eagles momentum continues with a win.

Chargers @ Bengals: Dalton continues to be the Matt Ryan of the AFC. Chargers get past the

Bengals.

49ers @ Packers: Green Bay has Rodgers back and is healthy. Packers eliminate the 49ers.

Divisional Round:

Chargers @ Broncos: Broncos get past their demons from a year ago, revenge their TNF loss to the Chargers.

Colts @ Patriots: Patriots get past Indy, and move on to Denver. Without us to ruin the media's dream matchup, it happens.

Eagles @ Panthers: Eagles have had a good run but run into a wall with Carolina's defense.

Packers @ Seahawks: The Packers run into the NFC Championship after getting rightful revenge against Seattle.

Championship:

Patriots @ Broncos: The media's dream matchup that we know we ruined from a year ago happens. Broncos get revenge for their SNF loss against the Patriots and advance to the Super Bowl.

Packers @ Panthers: Packers D won't be enough to contain Cam Newton, and Aaron Rodgers runs into a wall named Kuechly. Panthers advance to their second Super Bowl in franchise history.

Super Bowl XLVIII:

Broncos vs Panthers: Luckily, Jets/Giants fans won't have to suffer through the Patriots playing in the Super Bowl in Metlife Stadium. Manning silences everyone about cold weather by defeating the Panthers 31-21 to lead the Denver Broncos to a Super Bowl Championship.

Nice comments!   And the run you guys made last year was amazing. The Super Bowl started out like a blow out and ended up competitive. NFL is the one sport that remains eminently interesting and watchable even if the home town team is out!

Nice prediction though.....I think Denver will choke in the playoffs again cuz they have choker Welker and Manning on the team....

I like the Panthers in the SB though....

Absolutely, I appreciate great football no matter who's playing.  The strategical aspects of the sport were the reason I got into it in the first place, and the playoffs is where you see the best the game has to offer.  Some of the greatest games I've ever watched have been between other teams, and I have no problem admitting that the Steelers-Cards Super Bowl is one of the greatest of all time.

Can I just say, I hate the times that the NFL uses for the first two weeks of the playoffs.  Maybe it's because I'm young, and I go out on Saturday nights - but in my opinion, Saturday games should be 1 and 4:30, and Sunday games should be 4:30 and 8:30.  Not the other way around.

I just realized that the games were late to today as well.  I came in here to complain because I don't want to wait around that long today because I have nothing else to do.

I hate it too. I work 4 - 10 and I'm going to miss a game and a half I suppose. I'll probably get home at half time of the Saints-Eagles or the start of the second half.

I have changed my mind about the AFC - I'm rooting for the Chiefs.  NFC, I'm rooting for the Panthers.  Gonna go something like this:

KC @ IND

SD @ CIN

Divisional:

KC @ DEN

CIN @ NE

Championship:

KC @ NE

NFC

Wild Card:

NO @ PHL

SF @ GB

Divisional:

NO @ SEA

SF @ CAR

Championship:
CAR @ SEA

Super Bowl:

CAR @ KC

Haha - I mean this is American football, so you kind of screwed yourself over by becoming a fan :P My parents always wake up ridiculously early to watch the Premier League...luckily I care not for real football.

Maybe not as bad as you think - they're giving up 21 PPG.  Last year we gave up 21.5 PPG, and 88 points in our playoff games - 22 PPG even.

Must say, no matter how bad the Trent Richardson trade was, Richardson ends up with the last laugh as instead of sitting at home, he is playing in a playoff game today.

This Chiefs Colts game is so hard to pick. I'm going with Colts but don't feel confident about it at all. I have a feeling it good be game if the year material.

I went back and forth on all of the games this week.

For the wild card weekend, I've got the ChiefsSaintsChargers and Packers. So, 3 road teams and only one playing at home.

First time in 5 years that we've been sitting here with the playoffs having absolutely no impact on our team.

Bittersweet - I don't think we have anything to complain about.

I was just thinking that myself. Just sit back and watch it happen. No stress.
