John Harbaugh's Fears

I've never liked Harbaugh.  It's been documented.  1 Lombardi Trophy doesn't make you the man just ask John Gruden.  My concern is not with the fall from grace.  It's his stubbornness to fix things when they don't work.  

 

Why is Castillo still here?   Spags?  Who needs all these coaches for one team?  A man that can't coach himself? That's why i don't like Harbaugh.  He needs a bunch of ex head coaches to teach him the game. 

 

I understand Castillo but  what did spags do ?  ummm the Ravens aren't the first to have senior defensive consultant(titans say hi) and run game coordinator(Saints say hi ).  okay so you saying that Harbaugh can't coach him self but I thought the main goal was to coach others maybe I'm just lost on what you saying. You said he needs a bunch of ex head coaches to teach him the game so ummm you telling me that Harbaugh staff is fully of coaches that were  ex head coaches?

Isn't that a good thing, in a way? To be humble enough to realize your shortcomings and realize where you need help and where you need to learn more? 

 

And, I'm convinced he is a good coach that knows what he's doing. You just have your little vendetta against him, but that's fine.

No. Read some of the comments, not only in this thread but other "coaching" threads. This team is soft because of Harbaugh, this team has no heart, terrible clock management, in game decisions, nepotism, etc. Half of the complaints are not only whiny but also patently false.

The HC deserves some blame when the team goes 8-8, but it wasn't really a very talented team, especially on offense. That's not the HC's fault. Its not his fault Michael Oher was terrible. It's not his fault we had no depth along the OL. It's not his fault Joe Flacco threw 22 Ints or that Matt Elam was playing out of position the entire season.

I hate to say it, but if I blame anyone in the FO for this season it's Ozzie. He didn't address the offense at all last off season. I thought our depth on the line was suspect, and it was. I think our WRs would have been adequate had the run game and protection been there.

I agree. Ozzie spent every offseason resource to fix the D, which did improve quite a bit.

On offense, the line had a couple of injuries and two players that massively underperformed. Combine that with injured RBs, a WR corps by committee, and no production from the TE and its a recipe for disaster. Pretty much everything that could go wrong did. I'm surprised we went 8-8 in hindsight, and it was because our defense was very good and our QB was clutch.

Your right to an extent.  The only Vendetta i have against him is the preparation for games.  How long does it take to build a scoring offense when your defense plays lights out football.  We are starting drives from the thirty yard line(just about) thanks to a great return game.  We still cant seem to score points.  Red zone scoring is still an issue.  Clock Management still an issue.  

 

All of these things and he's rude to reporters= Me not liking him.

Rude to reporters? No he's not. 

 

He's not responsible for building the team, that's Ozzie. Clock management I'll give you, but RZ scoring is due to personnel. Just so you know, he's the HC of the whole team, not just the side that screws up.

It gets magnified when you are the head coach.  He has had his fair share of mental lapses this year.  It's his six year i expect more from him.  He doesn't seem to fully understand the game.

Okay, so he's rude in a handful of press conferences in a long season. What coach freaking isn't rude in a handful of pressers? I read the pressers and watch when I can, and typically, he's not rude. Short and vague, but definitely not rude.

They were so soft that they battled back late in each game? Soft is a term to describe teams that run away and hide when the going gets tough. I saw just the opposite. Just because you didn't like the outcome, doesn't mean the team was soft.
