Has anyone compiled a list of the FA market for 2014?

Rotoworld just put out their annual list today. The have it sorted by position and ranked best to worst, in their opinion. Google it and check it out. It's their 2014 free agent list.

Stevie Brown is someone we should look at.  got 8 INTs in 2012 before tearing his acl in 2013. He will probably want a 1 year incentive laced deal to bump up his market value. IDK if we can make a play though. He is a ball hawk and is still young.

This off season might be the most conservative FA we've seen in years.

The hope is that our FO stays patient enough to wait till dust settles down(1st 2 week of FA where everyone spends) and find a few gem like we usually do(Daryl smith/Corey Graham)

I just watched highlights from the 2010 Jets game and a lot of Boldin's catches saved us in that game. We NEED a big bodied receiver like Boldin and I have always liked Mike Evans, but since he might not be there, the Ravens need to find a Boldin type player in free agency who doesn't mind getting hit hard, and going in the middle, jumping high up to grab the ball and winning those contested catches and getting some tough grinding yards after the catch. What do you guys think of Jason Avant if he hits free agency? I really wish we go out and get Hakeem Nicks he would be a great number 2/complement to Torrey Smith who fights for the ball. Does anyone think we will get a receiver in free agency, and if so who do you think is the most likely candidate?

I like Eric Decker a lot, and if we were to go out and try to get a guy in free agency, he would be my first choice. I would like Avant and Nicks as reserves though in case we're unable to get Decker.

You just can't count on Nicks to play 16 games though - there'd have to be a backup plan in mind.  One guy who I'm somewhat curious about is Kevin Walter if his back's okay - he'd be cheap, he's got fantastic hands, and he knows Kubiak's offense already.

Skins cut Adam Carriker. He might be someone we consider for DL depth. We should be in contact with him and Red Bryant.

Yeah I thought about that too. I like cornerback Brandon Browner and Derek Cox and I also was wondering how well Browner would do as  a free safety.

Browner can't play FS.  He's a big guy and doesn't move as well as a FS should.

Think we will interview Jason Avant. He would be a solid pickup and cheap too. He isn't going to put up huge numbers, but at least he is a veteran and is still productive.

I can just see us re-signing Oher now since we didn't lock up Monroe which is why I'm ticked.

Avant would be a nice pickup.  Not a stud, but a reliable addition that would not cost us a future comp draft pick.  Ozzie always takes that into consideration.

I think thats why i'm most worried about not getting this deal done. I don't want to go down that road again. Monroe leaving would be a huge buzzkill to what has been a great offseason thus far (football wise, not counting the incidents). It changes our whole approach to FA and the draft.

I think Oher is gone either way.

Just read the latest numbers and I'm pretty surprised actually. We have 25 mil. to spend on players and only 9 teams in the league have more cap room. The way some people talk you'd think that we have only 2 dollars left to spend. Looking forward to the guys Ozzie & Eric are going to bring in.

Derek Cox is a good option I loved him in his Jacksonville days.

Browner might end up in Jacksonville.

I like Avant as well.

Did you see Cox play last year?

Let's stop the madness. We were crazy for letting Ben Grubbs go, He is arguably the best lineman in football. Insanity was more apparent when nepotism influenced a 5th round deal for Anquan Bolden. Arguably the best possession receiver in the NFL. And now utter madness is afoot with our refusing to talk realistically with Eugene Monroe or Jacoby Jones et. al.  We have several pieces of our puzzle already on the roster- I say let those guys have their deserved piece of the cake. Re-sign them and lets move on to other needs. Oh but lets keep Ray Rice right? Can I talk to a manager? Who is in charge here?

Sure, let's use half our available cap money to attribute it to dead money for cutting Rice. And its BoldIN!

Financially cutting Rice is not practical but from a dead weight standpoint we can move forward to life without Ray Rice which is going to happen anyway. Are we dromedaries shlepping unneeded cargo or are we visionaries able to see beyond the horizon.
