I want to know, what's your tradition? 

 

We wake up at 6 and my little bros (10, and 8) get gifts from "santa". They both are overwhelmed with excitement. 

 

Then, the mother makes dinner, we eat, and then my dad and I watch Die Hard (LOL).

My two oldest boys woke my husband and me up at 4:49 this morning!! It's actually an improvement over last year (3 something). I could hear the door open, but I kept my eyes closed. All of a sudden, bam! Two oldest boys jumped on the bed and said, "Hurry, hurry, hurry! Come on, hurry up! Guess who came?!? What's taking you so long? Come on!!!" That woke our youngest up, and he started crying. The sweetest part about all of it was our 5-year-old going up to his baby brother (5 months) and saying, "you don't know about this yet, but this is Christmas. It's awesome!" :) :)

An efficient kitchen. I don't have a dishwasher that works, and I'm only one person so it's kind of overkill, and I got one of those Rubbermaid rack things to air dry stuff. Which is currently filled with a Rubbermaid storage set because I have like, zero food storage containers. 

 

Also, candy, PJs, other grown up status stuff (extension cords, real knives for my kitchen, a thermometer, etc), My Little Pony goodies for my non-grown up status and of course knee socks. And gift cards to useful places except for one of them.

So after the early morning mayhem, I am enjoying a quiet evening. The two oldest ones went to sleep at 8:00 tonight. Bliss! :)

It was our 2nd Christmas here in Maryland, but it's the first one that really felt like home. I don't know if that makes sense or not. Last year, everything was still fresh and new. This year, we're definitely settled in! The greatest gift I got, in terms of material things, was a Vitamix. I am ready to make some serious green smoothies now! :)
