Preston Article: Patriots knew plays, offense dysfunctional

I actually found a fantastic article on the steelers forums that explained the zbs in detail . I watched video of the Texans and colts when manning was there qb.  OHer and Shipley are our weak links. I watched and compared and it seems like Oher, Shipley and on occasion gino blocked the wrong defender. but your correct it is starting to work I noticed it today when we played and gino didn't do too bad but Shipley had a bad go of it. so are we looking at another season til it gels cause obviously we will lose Shipley, oher , maybe gino? I'm still dying to know where/how Jensen fits here...

Yep, the run game was pretty good today, and Gino hasn't been the problem for about a month.

I am excited for the new season. if our oline can function like the colts or Texans  that would be fun to watch . not trying to say Joe is peyton  but that wold help Joe immensely

Jensen is a guy who has good athleticism and strength but what makes the difference is how nasty and hard working he is. Reminds a few people of Yanda and I think he could turn out to be a steal just like him. He does well in getting to the next level and I think his versatility playing multiple positions on the line is exactly what we need. I think he will prove to be much better suited for ZBS then shipley, who is slow and clunky, and he is much stronger than Gino without giving up much in the athleticism department. I think this guy is built for ZBS as an interior lineman. He seems to be really smart too.

gaining less than 60 yards on the ground is a good running day?

Oh, PFF... the same hacks that said Oher played well last week? LOL. PFF is borderline worthless.

Rice had 6 for 15, but Pierce had 5 for 28. That's a 5.6 average. That's running the ball well. We didn't run it enough, that's what the problem was. There were holes every time we ran it. Period.

You give them too much credit....you say that as if there is a chance they may be slightly more valuable than worthless...ugh

I use it as a reference if I need numbers to solidify a point, but no, I've never sworn by it.

If the linemen were giving away the run or pass play surprise by their pre-snap stance, don't you think the OC and line coach would be aware of this? After all, this is kind of like football 101 stuff.

Because he has been terrible? Because he was demoted halfway through the season? Those are two pretty obvious reasons.

when this was posted I asked for a link. this is inaccurate and its not the truth. he is now and will be in the next season our oline coach . and that is right from harbs mouth.
