On a more personal note, but still Ravens related, my son and husband just got back from the game. My 5-year-old said, "Mom, we lost. But the sun'll come up tomorrow!" :) I want to have the ability to see defeat that way.

well this is the kind of team we are when tucker can't score points for us and our opponents are disciplined enough to not give us first down penalties. what a lousy, lousy loss at home.

Baltimore1975 ""That's my whole point about Flacco. We can complain about how many guys he don't have from last year and Brady continues to win with guys you never heard of before. He does it constantly. ELITE QBs takes care of business regardless of who is around him. """ thats down right hilarious Joe has a brace on and look funny throwing it all game long and you say he cant Win??? Look at the last 5 games yeesh do some home work.

Well I did some homework in 10 of our 15 games we have scored less than 21 points. In those 10 games Flacco has only thrown for more than 1 TD in 4 of those games. Let's see in the games that we did score more than 21 points Flacco has only thrown for 3 TDs once. As a matter of fact there has been 4 games in which he didn't throw a TD. Let's see 18 TDs and 17 INTs also this year. Is that enough homework?

Flacco's knee had nothing to do with him throwing in double coverage all day long. I can understand throwing the ball deep and hoping your receiver will out run the coverage, but the first interception was a bad decision, Jacoby had a guy underneath him and behind him. There were other times that he threw into double coverage on intermediate routes, he is starting to stare receivers down too much. Even in his press conference he admitted to wanting to get the ball in Jacoby's hands on the INT pass. Dude how about you read the defense and throw to the open receiver?

Could not have said it better. He has been staring down WRs for sometime now. Normally only looks at half the field. He has that problem a poor decision problem and can't read most blitzes. But he is our best option. Hope we take a QB in the early rounds next year. I honestly don't see us paying Flacco when he enters the third year of his contract--if he continues to play like this.

John Harbaugh really begins to worry me....when asked why go for the FG with a score of 20-0.....his response was "(confidently) uhh, I wanted to make it a 2 score game"

Beginning of 4th quarter???  Very doo-able.

The worst part about it is Flacco is not a terrible QB by any means. Today, everyone just looked kinda "meh."

Of course not he isn't horrible, but ELITE is what he is not.

Last year we took something from New England in Foxborough. The Pats came in here and wanted what we took back. This is how we show up to a game to clinch a playoff spot? We were completely unprepared and out coached the entire game. Now our fate is in Miami and San Diego's hands.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. UGH! I was expecting it to at least be a close game if we lost, but definitely not this. This game was over early in the 3rd Quarter when they came up with yet another turnover. I stopped watching at that point, and thank goodness, because it only got worse. What happened to the team that finds a way to win? Heck, what happened to the team that at least plays football? They sure weren't in there today. We had a chance to really solidify that 6th wildcard spot chance after Miami lost, and instead we showed the ugly truth....that we don't deserve to be there this year. On the bright side, at least we'll get a decent placement in the draft.

Well, time to start thinking about mock drafts, who gets released, who do the Ravens want to offer contracts to, capology, etc. etc. This team doesn't deserve a spot in the post season tournament. What an embarrassment. It's one thing to lose, it's another thing when the whole team gets bitchslapped.

If Flacco was off early, then why not incorporate short passes, crossing routes, screens. How about more rushing attempts against the 31st rank run defense. Ravens were out coached. The talent differential between Pats and Ravens is in no way indicated by the score. Everyone looked like they had Christmas on their minds.

Whenever somebody says that, I remember Flacco standing on the sideline last season saying to Harbaugh... "Are we gonna win this one???  I mean, We never do it the easy way do we"?... and Harbaugh replied... "No, we don't".

if anyone thought we were going to walk into the playoffs and win the divison , one they haven't watched the ravens longer then 5 minutes , and 2 way to easy but it is fun to watch fans melt down after stuff like this happens . we are fine

Beginning of 4th quarter???  Very doo-able.

The point is with the fieldgoal it was still a three score game. 2 TDs + 2 x 2pt con only equals 16 you would still need a FG or safety to win.

We lost our Center... Birk...  One of the main offensive callers...  By week 3 we had lost Osemele...  Then we lost McKinnie...  We have one decent guy left on our O'Line from last year.... Yanda... and then there's Oher...

Oher

Shipley

Gradkowski

Yanda

Monroe

We lost McKinnie or did we bench him and then trade him? Blindside actually blocks like he can't see out there at times. So what's your point?

Nope...  Not enough...  You gotta look at more than that.  Personally, how many of those dropped passes were right in the numbers and dropped by the recievers.... I am not a stats person at all...  We have never really been a pass happy team at all either...  We have had more of a running game than most AFC teams of late.  We were complaining last year that if Ray Rice didn't get 25 - 30 touches per game we couldn't win a game... and Rice was hitting that 1.7 average ypc.  Terrible...  Imagine that if we had relied on that this year.  Yeah, we lost Boldin, we lost Pitta, we lost Jacoby the first 6 weeks.... on top of all of the defensive players.... and like I said our depleted O-Line....  Come on man... give us a break.

How many games has Flacco won in his first 6 years???  61 regular season games....  More than any other QB in NFL History.  He has the same number of Super Bowl Rings as Peyton Manning.  He also has more playoff wins than any other QB.  The guy is a winner.....  maybe not to your standard...  but he is a winner nevertheless.

So lets say we win next week. What are our chances of getting into the playoffs next week. I hear the Charger's play the Chiefs, but the Chiefs have nothing to play for next week. I'm worried.. and disappointed/disgusted/sad/pissed/confused. Seriously so disappointed in Flacco today. Yes he was playing with a brace, but he made a ton of judgmental mistakes that really killed us.. The refs were god awful as well. I'm just pissed..

Out coached...Out Played...Joe was off today, and should have been pulled, due to injury late 3rd quarter. Not going to point any fingers, but we severely lacked leadership and poise all day. The Lewis Ravens never had the "give up" look in their eyes like we did today. Got beat by a good team today, but unless our coaches use our personnel in a way to win we can't beat Playoff caliber clubs. (leach is SO underused in the run game, its SAD) Offense??? Defense, was supposed to be rebuilt to stop the run...Really? Tough game all around...The good news, we have the weapons...Just have to learn to coach them and prepare them to win...And if the stars don't produce...Sit them and let the next man up have a chance. At least the fins lost......

What a sad day. Lets just focus on beating the Bengals, and hope Harbaugh's old pal, Andy Reid's Chiefs help us out by beating San Diego!! Keep your heads up Ravens fans!!

Would someone please explain to me how Miami jumped in front of us for the 6th seed? We have identical records and we own the head-to-head tiebreaker. I am way confused.

To be honest after you said something about dropped passes I stopped reading because I knew the rest of your post wouldn't even be worth reading. Sorry, but regardless of what the numbers say you are a Flacco lover through the good and bad. To be honest I love the guy to, but you have to be realistic when you are watching his play this year. He has played like this with a healthy knee so that's no excuse for him.
