If we beat the Bengals and make the playoffs, that's great! Anything can happen once you make the post season as we all know.

If we lose and make the playoffs (that can actually happen) great!

If we lose and miss the playoffs, I'm alright with that as well.

This.

They're also playing the only team in the AFC playoffs with no implications surrounding their game, so IDK how much that helps

Neither could have anything to play for, but kC is coming off a bad loss. They probably want to build some momentum heading into the playoffs.

Screw losing at any time, ever. Take the playoffs whenever you can.

Absolutely! That's what I'm talkin' about! If we were a team that loses for draft picks we wouldn't have gone to the playoffs all the times we have over the years. The thought of intentionally losing for any reason is warped. I'm glad the Ravens culture has never gotten caught-up in that kind of mentality.

You dont say........

You forgot the rest of that statement that says.........

I would have the Bengals lathered up and foaming at the mouth!  This speaks of aggression as if a pitbull was in attack mode.  But you knew that!

serious question if joe can not play sunday what are the odds that tyrod can play and win this game? I have not seen any preseason games so i'm at a disadvantage . I know he had an interception sunday that bobbled snap was on gino.

Are the chances really looking that good even with Joe?

Hope somehow the run game is fixed and the defense can hold up. The Bengals have been humiliating teams at home lately. I'm just hoping the team shows some damn fight this week.

Just a thought, but the Chargers play the late game, and if either the Dolphins or Ravens win, they have nothing to play for.

True but Chiefs also won't have anything to play for

Having Joe hasn't really done much season. If you can win w/ a performance like this.

Anyone remember the bills game? 2TD, 5INT and we still had a chance.

Or look @ any of the game past few weeks. Hello?

He's in good company. Ignore the stats, he's a winner. Ray Rice too, he's a winner, stats don't matter, the wins do. Michael "Turnstile" Oher, he's a winner too. Ignore the sacks and false starts. Cundiff never should've been given the boot cause he was on one of the best Ravens rosters ever. Torrey Smith is the GOAT cause our last receivers were Brendas baby garbage. You guys are so lucky to see him play, better than AJ Green and Julio Jones, you just don't see it. You're stupid to think anyones better.

I would!

To hell with worrying about injuries or the you have nothing to play for notion.  The Ravens are wounded...mentally!  If I'm Marvin Lewis, I am getting my boys amped up even more than what they already are after watching the Ravens embarrassing and pathetic performance vs. the Patriots.  I would have the Bengals lathered up and foaming at the mouth and ready to finally put the Ravens out of their playoff hunt misery!  IF, I was Marvin Lewis!  But I'm not and I hope he rests them all!  LOL!!

Hey Mili...

Ever notice how the Ravens always bounce back???  I don't think I've ever seen two embarrassing games in a row from them.  I think they themselves are going to be ticked off.  Really ticked off.

Ravens will win this game. I'm just not as convinced that either the Chargers or Dolphins will lose (although I posted yesterday that they would because I am an eternal optimist).

Sure, they'll want to win for pride and 'momentum' riding into the playoffs, but they can't play for seeding. They're stuck at #5.

The Worst Case Scenario

The worst case is that we beat the Bengals, but Miami and San Diego also win.  That means we finish 9-7, miss the playoffs and move up the draft board a bit.

With 9 Teams having poor records we cannot match.

And 9 Teams That can conceivably finish better than us if we lose to the Bengals. (Without reference to tie breaks.)

I would prefer to establish a slightly better draft position at 8-8 rather than cling to any dream that we are remotely capable of beating Cincinnati in their house 2 weeks in a row.

I actually think we'd go to Indianapolis if we got to the playoffs. If we beat the Bengals, and the Colts win against Jacksonville, the Colts would become 3rd seed.

That would be a little more acceptable, but we don't have the offense.

Our defense does a fair job, but we ask too much of them.

If our defense was a number 1 defense.  Maybe, but its about an 8th ranked defense. It's not complete.

Seattle's #1 defense lost to the Arizona Cardinals in Seattle. Anything can happen, and probably will. ;)
