Joe Flacco's Knee

No fine for Levy and Elam gets fined 7,875 for touching Stafford. I understand you can't fine people based on the result of the play, but Elam didn't do anything that could've injured Stafford that I can remember.

The man has had nearly a week to heal up so hopefully he's ready to go and won't be affected too much by the brace!

I only saw it twice but it looked like he was pushed down in the direction of Flacco, not as intentional.

Pushed. You mean Shipley's swim move to let Levy by to get to the second level? How do you push a linebacker the opposite way you're headed? Come on. He was CLEARLY trying to grab Joe by the lower legs which is illegal.

Look at where Levy's feet touch the ground. Look at the angle of his body to the ground. This is obviously a lunge at Joe's feet. There's no way that a push from A.Q. into Levy's upper body would result in another 1-2 horizontal yards before he hits the ground.

Now look at his arm. It is extending towards the QB to grab his ankles. Not to protect himself from hitting the turf. Blatant intention. There's no question.

How the NFL deems this unfineable is beyond me. What were they looking at?

I really hope Joe will be okay, but it really worries me that he has suffered an injury similar when he was in college on the same knee.  The fact that he stated that he hasn't experienced anything like this before is what's worrying to me, since he did in college and wore a brace at that time as well, makes me wonder if this time it was a little worse.  I pray it isn't!  But this o-line is going to have to keep Joe clean Sunday at all costs regardless.

They are looking at the name on and color of the uniform. Simple as that. Why do you think its called the "Brady" rule? It only applies to Lady Brady. Or other "important" QBs.

Matthew Stafford does have a bad history of injuries maybe thats why the flag. Whatever it's behind us. On to the Patriots.

Um our QB is wearing a brace and he is our most efficient runner. It's not behind us at all. We still have to deal with it.

Pretty much the NFL just declared open season on Flacco. O line better step up their game.

Well if Flacco says he is fine then we have to take his word for it.

My philosophy on a player getting hurt is that their word in no good.  If they say they're fine, I don't buy it.  We saw that with RG3 and Ray Rice this year alone.  Guys who said after an injury that they were ready to go, but weren't.  Not saying for sure that Joe will be hampered by this injury, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is.  After all, he will be wearing a knee brace.

He won't be the same mobility wise, but I fully expect his pocket passing ability to be the same.  We just have to hope that the Oline gives him an actual pocket for 35 drops on Sunday.

NE always created problems for our OL but that was when they had the monster in the middle.

I hope flacco will be fine because unlike a lot of guys in here I don´t want to see TT drop back and throw the football at this point of the season.

We need flacco to win this game!!!

Sore is better than instability. So long as Flacco trusts the brace and the Oline (I wouldn't but I'm not an NFL QB) he'll be fine.

Its a shame because flacco has needed to scramble often to pick up key first downs.we might need to run some wildcat with tyrod vs NE.

I dont know if you are serious or joking... but the patriots have seen the wildcat probably more than most teams so they would be the one team not to run it against. They played against the dolohins and jets 2 a year and both teams have used it a lot. And now the bills run a little option with Manuel. We should be able to run against them without it.

on a side note if we can get a big lead and since we seem to play conservative anyways after a lead... I would rest Flacco in the 4th and let Taylor run the offense... but that's if we are shutting them down and the running game is working... big ifs.

Cold and rainy at game time .. Tomorrow would be a nice time to find that Leach led Pierce/Rice run game and play a field position grinding game. Take some pressure off Joe.

70s?  Its the end of December lol.  Is that even possible in Baltimore at this point in the seasons?

Because its -28C where I live right now lol.

Now the fact of not having a quality back-up is coming around to bite the Ravens.

I wouldn't say Tyrod is not a quality back up... he just has a different skill set. If Taylor was our Franchise qb we would hopefully filled a team around his skill set... like we are trying to do with Joe. Speed guys and TEs that open the middle of the field. Taylor is a good qb but Flacco is just better.

Yeah it's supposed to be around 70.  Baltimore weather never makes sense lol.

Ridiculous, but good for Flacco.  The cold tightens things up.

Wow, I misread the Fahrenheit conversion lol. That is warm, and strange, to say the least. Nevertheless, wouldn't mind seeing some classic I-Form rushing attack w/ Leach and the boys. If in fact Flacco is a little hampered in his mobility.
