Joe Flacco's Knee

Anybody else pissed that there was no flag thrown on this?  I am 100% positive that if that was tom brady out there, it would have been an automatic penalty.  Just goes to show how bias the league can be sometimes.

Pissed, sure. But I am more happy that he's okay.  Joe is one tough QB.

My first reaction is not about the no call, instead of extreme worry about his knee.....

Looked to hobble a little bit for the remainder of the game, and made some inaccurate throws, but it doesnt look too serious

Dude...  He's not Brady or Manning....  Very rarely do you see a flag thrown on a hit on our QB....  very rarely...  almost 6 years and they just don't "see it" with Flacco.  He said he was scared...  but it feels strong, fine.

Roughing the QB Flags everywhere.

$400,000 fine, and a life sentence in prison!

Oh I think there will be a fine.

That's the Tom Brady rule, it probably should have been called.  Hopefully it's nothing serious, but they definitely need to test that out.

He's a beast!!! Durable as hell!!!!

Yea, even this year he is getting sacked like crazy and you don't hear him moaning about injuries ala Roethlisberger.

Don't make this a Tom Brady thread.

I'm just glad Joe is okay!

You know Brady's ridicule shows sign of relief that Flacco SB MVP is okay!!>...

All I remember was putting my face in my hands and thinking 'dear god please let him be okay', next thing I knew the sideline reporter said he was jawing with fans and that put me at ease. He is really bar none the most durable QB in the league.

ive had a interior knee ligament tear, granted i dont have nfl surgeons, or health insurance at all for that matter, but it can be a huge problem if its a tear, even its just the slightest tear. i was absolutely horrified to see that hit, and i coulda cared less about a flag, i was worried about our qb, thats our guy, and if hes out, this team is done, plain and simple.

he looked shaky after he came back, all of his throws were off target, as if he couldnt step into his throws(shocking!) he was much less willing to throw it in the face of a rush, and he overthrew his target often. in the end he made the 1 single throw he needed to and that put us in position to win, i think that throw got his confidence up also because he made another great throw to pitta that was broken up by a tough ribshot, but im feeling a little funny about joes knee, i hope its just a little twist to the knee instead of something serious.

All you Flacco detractors are once again as pathetic as the NFL officials. I hope Joe's knee is OK too and, yes, a penalty should have been called for a helmet hit below the knee but the refs have our number. It was Joe Flacco, not Matthew Stafford. Our QB has taken more hits this year than RG3 and ?. Don't take my word for it though. Google it and check out the stats. Cool Hand Joe is one tough hombre! We get called for a 15 yd penalty for incidental contact to the QB when he was sliding feet first. Joe did the same thing later and there was contact by one of the Lions and no flag was thrown. If you folks are gonna hit on Joe Flacco like the refs and our opponents, at least stand up for him when he takes a lickin and keeps on tickin! BTW, kudos go to the O-line for one whale of an effort last night!  Had I been blockin for Joe on that hit instead of Ray Rice, Joe wouldn't have been touched. I would have buried the blitzing Lion. Oh well, we came out of the Lion's Den w/o being devoured by hungry lions. Sounds like one of my favorite bible stories. So who's our next victim?

Where is this coming from?  I haven't read one negative comment in this thread about Flacco's toughness.  That has never been in question as a knock on his game play.

We are all hoping he is alright.  First and foremost he is a RAVEN!!!

Easy there now. I haven't seen anyone say anything about Joe lacking toughness. Most everything here has been pretty positive about his performance last night.

I have to say that I kind of don't like that reports are saying they aren't even going to bother doing an MRI. Seems to me that should be a given just to be certain.

I agree. I'd hate for him to wreck his career by acting like there's no problem and no reason to even test it.
