And he's a kicker. It's crazy to think that a kicker is one of the most liked guys out there.

The new Janikowski.

who else was ready to completely turn on harbs when it looked like we were goin for it on 4th? oh my god i think harbaugh heard me screaming from pasadena on that one. i just knew tuck would bang the 61 yarder and i thought going for it on 4th would have sealed our fate as a super bowl hangover victim. thank god harbs called that timeout

Joe said coming off the field Harbs asked him if he wanted to go for it and Joe said no, let Tucker do his thing.

I was talking about it during the game, that was a tough call.  Go for it or kick a long FG.

I really think the Lions made up John's mind for him.  They let us run the clock down. If they called a TO, I think we would've gone for it.  I didn't like our chances going for it.

and Joe was sipping some Gatorade during the kick; that shows how confident he is about Tucker's game winning FG........

I think John believes Tucker can air it out with his leg in a dome; from the sideline brief camera view, John wanted to confirm on the call kick or go for it cuz he didn't want to rush......

Yea I mentioned in the Elam thread how when everyone was cheering the kick and apparent win, Flacco was pulling Elam up and telling him something. I wonder if he was telling the rookie to stay focused and finish.

LOL
This was on his Wikipedia page LMAO

"Nonetheless, the Ravens went on to win the game, giving Tucker his first Super Bowl ring. After the game Tucker went home and slept with many women hypnotoads, being second man in the world to have the legendary tensome. Barney Stintson being the other tensome legend."

Justin Tucker is the first kicker in NFL History (already!!) to make a field goal in the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, and the 60's! We love you Legatron!

Unrelated but that lost me a FF game, which ultimately made me miss playoffs by 1 game in which I would've won lol

Loser. We should have just cut him right then and there.

Probably a good thing he's missed some.  Don't want to have the whole Gary Anderson 1999 NFC Championship Game situation.

Point. I dunno how many of Gary's kicks were for the win that year, but at least we all know Justin doesn't get phased by pressure.

I remember reading someone saying they preferred nerve over raw leg power in a kicker, and I Cund can certainly see where they're coming from.

For the record though, JT's leg is 'bigger' than Cundiff's.  Cundiff maxes out around 55, JT just hit from 61 without the help of the wind on a kick he kinda didn't hit that well that popped up on him.  He's the whole package, when he's up for a contract I have no problem making him the highest paid kicker in the league.  Of course kicker's don't make enough to really affect us signing guys, so it's not a big deal.

Yeah, I get that. More than anything, it was a dig at Cundiff in crunch time.

And I agree fully on maxing out his contract when the time comes. Bloated nothing - we've found our Stover replacement and those guys clearly don't grow on trees.

What's odd about that is Hauschka hasn't been a bum in Seattle like he was here.
