We have to take advantage of slow Donta Hightower in coverage. Get him matched up on Torrey or Jacoby as much as possible.

Dane Fletcher too. Both their ILBs are slow as molasses and terrible in coverage. Dickson, Pitta, and Clark should see extensive action

I could care less. The media blows with the wind. You win a few games they are like 'hey look at them'. Media doesn't make or break us no matter what our fans think.

What does make this team play better is having their backs against the wall.

Oddly enough, this is when the media is most down on you. That's why it SEEMS we play better when the media is against us.

But everyone like yourself complains when the Ravens don't get the credit. which is it?

Like myself?  Our fan's obsession with the media always drives me nuts, and I often fight against the notion.  Just like now.  I could care less who gives us credit or who doesn't.  I have faith in the team and that's all that matters to me.

I've never been one of those slaves to the media.  Now I did comment about the ESPN video yesterday with the random PIs because I thought it was needless.  But I don't slate that up to 'the media hates us', but rather bad taste.

I'm still not comfortable. :( heck I won't be comfortable until the season is over (whether it ended well or not)! TBH, I want us to win at least one playoff game, and I'll call it a miracle of a season. :)

After Media week before the SB last year, I am numb to the media bias. THAT was bad. Every no name reporter and espn blogger out there trying to make their name by bashing us.

They hate us because Baltimore is such a small media market, we don't score 5 billion points a game, yet we win more than almost every other franchise..this year was supposed to be a down year, yet the Ravens are fighting with everything they've got and have found themselves BACK in a divisional championship race.

Our successes will only fuel the negative spin against the Ravens by the talking heads at NFLN and ESPN..which just gives this team more fire in the belly.
They try to belittle our championship run with talks if blown PI calls in our favor...yet they GUSH over guys like Fairley and Suh who are both classless trash and the scum of the NFL.

It will ALWAYS be that way. It makes it so much sweeter when we win

All week 16 games no matter when played will have a impact on playoffs, so yes they will mean something at 1 pm and 8:30 pm.

If the Lions lose and the Packers win, the Lions will be eliminated and the NFC North will be decided in the Week 17 game between the Bears and Packers no matter what the Bears do Sunday night.

If the Cowboys win, the NFC East will be decided in the Week 17 game between the Bears and Eagles no matter what the Eagles do Sunday night.

Therefore, yes it is possible that the Sunday night game between the Eagles and Bears will mean nothing to either team playing or any other team not playing. It will be like a preseason game warmup for each team's win or go home game the next week.

What is your problem with this media thing? Do you work for them or something?

There is no giant conspiracy. I mean what would the conspiracy be? To make us be undesirable as a franchise to the average viewer? So what?

There is however, a definite bias and it is pretty obvious at times. In their pre-game show the Ravens got exactly a 2 min sit down with Flacco and a 6 min piece on Harbaugh, the rest of that hour long show was about Detroit, how great they were and how they were going to get it done at home.

This IS a Ravens' forum & if we feel the disrespect, I don't know why that's an issue.

We all know it is unlikely that it is any poster board material for the team, that our complaints aren't going to change it and that, while it might seem like it at times, it doesn't change the way the team plays.

There are those who don't care, wear it like a badge, accept it, whatever, and that's great. Most of the time, I let it go, but when it is as blatant as it was last night, then I rant a bit about it and so do some of the other posters' here. That doesn't mean you are somehow above us all and can belittle our feelings about that disrespect.

You just have to hope the game is not decided by Brady whining, crying and pleading for flags on incidental contact hits.

He has been one of the worst things to happen to this league in that regard.

He's also demonstrated a wide "poor sportsmanship" streak lately with both in game and post game conduct.  He doesn't deserve preferential treatment and lets hope the officiating crew does not give it to him.

Let's hope he gets brave for once and tries to run for a first down with Cleats closing like a rocket.

The old reverse psychology trick, huh?  Well, it won't matter if we can't get more than a one score lead late.  Our defense couldn't stop Matt Cassel or Josh Campbell when we needed to, so Brady should be able to lead his team of no-names down at the end if need be.  We need to build a sizable advantage early on to take this.

Solder got concussed again, if he's out that's the key in this estimation.  I'd sure love to see Tom Brady hit by an unimpeded Courtney Upshaw. Not too high....Not too Low.........but juuuuuussssssssst right.

You just got to love the sharp pitched sound of parting osteo

The Ravens can still get the #2 seed if:

They win out

and

Patriots lose last game to BUF

Colts lose out

Doesn't matter what Miami does.  BAL would win head2head tiebreaker over Doolphins.

They are slim odds, but odds nonetheless.

The keys are stopping the inside routes. Let brady try beating smith webb and corey on the outside with 2 small recievers.
We must rush brady. Suggs has been dissapointing in the past month.dumervil actually gets really close to sacks all the time.

Just a scenario. If we win next week and bengals lose. Does that mean week 17 will decide the division winner?

It will determine the division winner whether the Bengals win or lose next week as long as we win.

But if we lose and the Bengals win, that's a different story.  Week 17 wouldn't determine the division winner and we would pray for the Dolphinis to fail.

If we win this week, Week 17 will decide the Division winner regardless. If we both lose, Week 17 will decide the Division winner.

If we win & Bengals lose, we will have the same record and Week 17 will decide the Division winner.

Wait....huh....so Week 17 will decide it unless we lose & Bengals win this week.

Exactly.  That is the worst case scenario.  I just want a shot at the division come week 17.

I'm so glad this NE game is at home!

A Week 17 showdown with the Bengals for the Division. Oh yeah!

Managed a last minute ticket. I'll be at this game. Albeit, at the highest point in the stadium in the very last row, but I'll be there. lol

Its all about the offense and the defensive line when the pats come to town. We must score in the red zone because you know Brady will, and we must get pressure on Brady in order to throw him off and get him second guessing

GO RAVENS

If Solder is out this should be an easy game. Turns out there really are worse options than Oher at LT and Mankins is one of them.
