Yeah I don't know if it's because i'm not american so I don't know the game 110% like you guys but i'm confused half the time when a flag is thrown for a holding call or a push off call or a catch being called incomplete because he didn't have full control. I think it would be better if they brought back the brutal 80's and 70's rules and keep the officials out of it as much as possible. And of course a top 6 conference system please.

 

Ah yes, the Calvin Johnson rule... pretty sure that one came up in the Weird NFL Rules thread.

Seemed like the Bears were more willing to throw this game knowing full well they may have to play Aaron Rodgers in Week 17 for the NFC North title.

Next week in the NFC can be crazy. If the 49ers beat the Falcons tomorrow, then beat the Cardinals while the Rams beat the Seahawks, then the entire seeding changes. That happens and the Panthers beat the Falcons, they can move into the 1 seed, 49ers claim the West and the 2 seed while the Seahawks fall all the way to the fifth seed. 

 

Also, Packers-Bears has been moved to 4:25p.m ET starting time. This is the second know flex scheduling for Week 17 along with Cowboys-Eagles moved to SNF.

In NFL history, have the two Super Bowl teams both missed the playoffs the following season? I know there is always one team that doesn't get back but has both not made the playoffs following a SB appearance?

Neither Pittsburgh nor Arizona made it back in 2009, just off the top of my head.

A 9ers receiver dropped it on 3rd and 10, only for the play to be redone after Osi Umenyiora got pegged for offside. From there, they started driving and tied it at 10. Now they're driving again and it doesn't look like Atlanta's about to stop them.
