ESPN isn't much better with their Love Fest for Stafford and Johnson...  It's almost sickening...  Nothing about the Ravens resolve.  Nothing regarding the "Champions" at all.

 

No Gruden sit down with a Raven either...

Why do we need so many of these human interest pieces?  It'd be so much more interesting if they, you know, actually talked about the game.  I know ESPN analysts can't be bothered to watch the film, when you look at what's going on it's harder to make foolish statements that invoke a reaction, but seriously.  I don't care.

 

They have an hour kill, what else are they supposed to talk about... the game?

Why would that affect home field advantage?  Domed stadiums are often louder, look at the Superdome.  Our usual opponents (Steelers, Bengals, Browns) shouldn't be that thrown off by the occasional bout snow.

I am Christian and a fan of Ray Lewis. But Ray really shouldn't be giving sermons on ESPN. Very Awkward.

Ugh, Heath Evans talking about the Ravens offense lacking "identity". Evidently we are not running the ball enough. Gee, I wonder why we won't do that? I love how he called not giving Rice the ball a bunch "the Cam Cameron way of playcalling". Really? Run, run, pass, punt doesn't tell him anything? Has this man ever watched a single Ravens game in his life?

 

I keep telling people that these guys are only experts of actually playing the game, but they don't really know much past the common thought.

 

The common thought of the Baltimore Ravens is that we need to be able to have a strong run game and defense to win because that's the Ravens Way. However anybody that has watched this team the last 2 seasons can clearly see that this teams doesn't have offensive success without getting the pass game going.

I love the atmosphere of M&T.  The outdoor stadium is fantastic and electric... Even when it's cold, you feel it before you go in (and we sit in Section 520), and it's only on occasion that you actually feel the cold during the game.  The emotion, the adrenaline keep you going...  It's not til you leave that you realize that it's "gotten cold out".

Thankfully I haven't turned on ESPN yet. I'm avoiding all the pre-show hooblah and waiting for kickoff.

It's not hyperbole to say Stafford would be nothing without Megatron making those ridiculous catches.  He's not a good QB.

 

Stafford isn't a bad QB - but he's definitely god's favourite... Who was his go-to guy in the college? AJ. Green. Who's his go-to guy in the NFL? Calvin Johnson...

 

I guess even I would look like a legit NFL-QB with them :)

Well, it would certainly help disguise the play. The problem is, the O-line may be too busy laughing to protect him.

 

On a related note, I just had a mental image of our O lining up in kilts, and flashing the opposing defence just before the snap. Should give us a few extra seconds to make a play, no?
