Matt Elam calls Megatron old

428 posts in this topic

Matt elam is an idiot.

My least favorite pick in years

Now he says a 28 year old all universe wr is old?

well..matt elam..you are a bust.

Just stop. I've never seen you actually like a pick and give them time to develop before pulling the plug anyway. I'm sure glad you're no where near the front office, bro lol.

Wow lol. I understand what he said was very foolish but I don't think this is the place to bash him. I'm sure on Detroit's board you guys would feel at home.

Until this past game, Elam has been mostly reliable as a tackler.[/quote]
He's been called out for not wrapping up

Just for the record, A few people on here as well as myself took a lot of crap from unintelligent people who wanted Jimmy gone from day one because The ravens didn't take the guy they wanted. Not every rookie is going to be JJ Watt and Adrian Peterson right away. Stop with the Matt Elam sucks crap already guys lol.

Is this the same Elam who' fell flat on his face during the Vikings game? He needs to make some plays before talking.

In the open field and in snow.... But let's pretend it was perfect conditions.

he's a rookie and still learning his role and playing a position that is not his natural position . he did slip on the Patterson td. no rookie comes out of school and play like hof players and he certainly is not a bum .

And thats exactly why he should keep his mouth.

He hasn't proven anything as far (from my perspective), he's a bum until he isn't a bum...rookie or not.

And calling Calvin Johnson 'old' (whether he also praised him in the same breath or not) is disrespectful considering he isn't some shining star in the league and is no where near the athlete that Calvin Johnson is.

LOL yeah he talks too much...

Megatron is a different monster.Dez Bryant simply mentioned that he was on the same level as him and he went off for 14 catches 329 yards and a td.It was the second best receiving day in NFL history.

I'm sure the fact that the Cowboys defense is abysmal had something to do with that.

Honestly... people are chewing on Elam but he really isn't playing badly at all... He is giving us everything Ed Reed gave us last year... sacrifice holding on to an interception or two for finishing an extra tackle or two...

You can't make people happy, Elam really has been on his game.

When I read the various quotes of Elam and Chykie. My only issue is to me neither one of those guys have made enough plays to warrant them even speaking of Calvin Johnson, they had all better wrap up on tackles this week.

Yea, i did

Did you read what i said??? Regardless if he 'praised' him, calling him old was unnecessary, especially coming from a rookie who has yet to prove himself on the field.

THAT comment is in bad taste, PERIOD.

And then to make that comment after he slipped and fell on his butt and let Patterson score LOL i find it laughable

Its MY opinion.

Pipe down.

It would be nice if he was playing SS, in the box making big hits. He doesn't look as natural playing deep. I wonder if he will get moved to "his natural position" as you say. Unless we draft someone else to play FS and Ihedigbo moves along , Elam might be stuck there.

I was one of the idiots calling for jimmy to be cut . so I'm shutting up now . this is going to end up being a lesson for the rookie not to say things to a reporter you shouldn't

Why can't he say what HE wants to say? I could care less if he said Calvin was garbage. We all know it's not true so if that's how he feels so be it everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Stupid comment or not we should be backing our players and not treating other teams players look like they've had HOF careers in Baltimore.

Yeah I can see where you're coming from but he shouldn't have made certain comments. That being said, he is being interviewed by the press. Whats he going to say? "Calvin will absolutely dominate us" I mean c'mon. Same goes for the Flacco "Elite" comments last year.

I think he would play better . and I hope he doesn't get stuck I think he can be a real contributor he has allot of talent

Abe Elam did nothing in this league, why did Ozzie think Matt would?

Relevance?? What does a person's brother success or lack thereof have to do with their success??

Champ Bailey -- future HOF CB
Boss Bailey -- couple years of activity

Torrey Holt -- great WR, SuperBowl Champ
Terrence Holt -- serviceable

Peter Boulware -- excellent player
Michael Boulware - was ok

Rob Gronkowski
Any one of his Brothers

Point being one brother can be an average player while the other reaches pro bowl level or better it happens!

He just doesnt have it. You can tell he isnt the brightest as well. He basically is the opposite of troy. I cracked up when dean pees at the press said after one reporter questioned elams height and he said "how tall is troy".

....rofl

He's 5'8 3/4"

Uh...
Patterson...

hahahahaha you mean the one where he was backpedling in the snow in open field by himself? Goodjob you named one. Get out of here, Patterson had the entire width of the field to make him miss, he had no help. No one on our team would've made that tackle.
