I think Caldwell is decent at making use of available talent and skill set. He makes changes...slow changes, but he ain't stubborn like a Cameron.

I'm happy with Caldwell...players just not executing this year and I'm confident Cam could not have done a better job all things remaining the same.

Now only we can give Castillo the boot. Our running game has been atrocious

Or maybe we just didn't appreciate how good Birk was until he left. Also the loss of our potential pro bowl guard in Osemele hurt. Oher has always been slightly above average therefore I don't know if Castillo is the problem. Coaching with patchy amount of talent talent is like cooking with 1/2 the ingredients. You'll cook something, it probably won't taste good but it'll fill you up you just might not enjoy it.

Ah, what a glorious day.  The excitement about the impending announcement, and then the joy at hearing it was indeed Cam getting the boot.

What I'm thankful for this holiday season.

Honestly, I am surprised that you (Poe) got second. After the draft I thought your team was doomed for failure.

You get used to it. Even posts that don't violate the rules aren't safe.

Cam got canned and we went on to win the Super Bowl!  Yep!  It was a great move!

Well, we clearly are making a transition towards becoming a passing offense, which makes only sense after that 120million$ contract and the ineffectiveness of the running game. I just wish more playmakers would step up to take advantage of that. Oh well, we still have the next draft class to find a good WR, I guess.

Jim is doing reasonably well. Better than Cam, anyway. I still would've prefered Norv Turner, but that doesn't matter anymore. I think Caldwell will do much better next season, if his unit doesn't get overlooked in next years draft again.

Dean Pees on the other hand...

This is what nobody talks about. Birk made all the line calls for Flacco's first 5 years, don't think Matt ever missed a start. Can't underestimate the leadership he brought, he was one of the greats.

I had given up hope for the season til Cam got Das Boot. Soon as he was fired I told my friend we had a chance to make a run and he laughed at me... Guess who got the last laugh?

It was also a win win. Cams doing great at LSU.

At a large school you get top talent. NFL you drafting and not recruiting....huge difference.
In the NFL you need to be able to adjust to your talent in order to be successful.

What's wrong with our receiving core outside an injury prone TE and a TE that can only make difficult catches?

Torrey smith just needs to work on route running a bit, marlon will get better each day, jones can stretch the field, Doss can catch, Rice can run routes if you let him.

I dunno about a young dude a WR...unless its a Sammy Watkins... or Mike Evans at Texas A&M that is big and can catch.

When the snow cleared, with Pitta back the offense did look like it did during that playoff run.

Everything considered - You work with what you have. I think that's a true testament of Caldwell's ability. The measure of a coach is when you build it from the bottom up not down. We've been improving with each game. That's a good thing. Cam wasn't a bad coach. Just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Wish him nothing but the best.

I'll forever be grateful for Cam, but his time here was done. It was time for The Mighty Joe Flacco to ghost ride da whip.

Wish I could say our offensive woes are behind us!

Cam did really well with LSU this season.
