Andy Dalton cost me a chance at the fantasy SB...

Thanks a lot. I want you benched and Jason Garret Fired now.

SMH

Who starts Andy Dalton, lol?  You could have gotten Fitzpatrick or Cassel off of FA.

I do not believe Bengals have to lose out.  Just losing to us would do it should we win out, correct?

You are correct, somewhat.  I didn't feel like going through all the scenarios, but actually if we win out, Bengals lose against us but win against the Vikes, and MIA wins out (everything else I said stays the same) then MIA actually gets the 2 seed lol.

I started AJ Green and needed 7 more yards. and Dalton couldn't throw it to him

Jeez there are so many scenarios.

I actually (and will) love the thought of the Ravens going into Cincinnati, where the Bengals are undefeated (assuming they beat Minnesota, next week), and taking the division title WHILE everyone doubted us!

Yeah; basically, the scenario for a #1 Broncos, #2 Ravens, #3 Dolphins, #4 Colts, #5 Chiefs and #6 Bengals playoff seeding goes like this: Baltimore has to win-out, Miami has to win-out, the Bengals have to win against the Vikings (otherwise, the Patriots make the playoffs, regardless), Indy has to lose-out and Buffalo has to upset New England in week 17.

If we win out, Bengals lose out, Pats lose out and Colts drop 1 of 2, then we get the 2nd seed.

Seeding would look like:

1: DEN/KC

2: BAL

3: INDY

4: NE

5: DEN/KC

6: MIA

That is my dream playoff picture.

More simply put, NE loses to Buffalo, Cincy loses to Min, Indy loses one, and we win out. Provided we win out, that's 3/4 games that have to go our way. If it's a coin toss for each outcome, that's 1/8 odds. I think the NFL would cringe at the idea of a 10-6 team with a home bye though.

How would Miami get #2 here?

You're incorrect, actually.

Yeah; essentially, the Colts will play a part in who gets the bye week. If they finish 9-7, the Ravens and Dolphins seeds will be decided by their head-to-head records. If Indy finishes 10-6, everything goes by conference records (which goes: Miami > Baltimore > Indy). And, if the Colts finish at 11-5... well, yeah; they get the bye.

Luckily, the Colts (who have been less-than-impressive against winning teams since Reggie Wayne went down) have to go to the Chiefs, next, and Kansas City will still be fighting for the AFC West title. Thus, if Indy loses to K.C.; then, the Colts have absolutely nothing to play for in week 17.

I think that covers everything, right? :P

Nah, I'm right.  CompSci explains it better than I did.

For MIA to get the 2 seed, Colts have to drop one as well.

if Miami win out and we are also winning out, how are they ahead of us when we owned the tiebreaker??

We'd have to be in a 3 way tie - so IND would have to drop exactly one game and end up with the same record as us and the Dolphins.

I hate three way ties. They should give us the higher seed for being the better team and defending champs. Don't they know that we're royalty?

Gotta take care of business first.

I like how you assume how I was referring to you...

Well... recent events led me to reasonably deduce that. I don't want to hi-jack another thread, so let me get back on topic :D

Pittsburgh offense is looking alright. A little late in the season, but I think they have something to build on. O-line is putting it together

The Chiefs with their dominating win, clinched a playoff berth a year after being the worst team in the league.

The only Clinching scenario is well... if we lose to the Lions, the Patriots clinch a playoff spot.

Rex Ryan's feet are really to the fire, I think.

They've already overachieved this year, I think he's safe.

I'd be a little upset you didn't see the foot joke...

So Dez Bryant's reason for leaving the field early is because he 'didn't want to cry on the sideline' per rotoworld.

Awwww. Poor guy. Millions of dollars and great physical health should clear that right up.

I don't think it's that simple.

But Dez is wrong for leaving the field early, definitely.
