Week 15 Discussion (Other Games)

1,095 posts in this topic

My Observations on Notable Games:

SD@ DEN: SD is desperately trying to stay afloat in the WC race after get blown out by CIN last week. They would have to win out to end up at 9-7. Other than Welker, all hands should be on deck for the Broncos at home on Thursday.

BUF@ JAC: draft implications

GB@ DAL: DAL needs to keep pace with PHI, who's 1 game ahead of them in the division race. It doesn't help that Aaron Rodgers should be back for this game.

NE@ MIA: big AFC seeding implications. If MIA pulls off the upset, they could easily beat BUF & NYJ, winning out and potentially earning a WC spot. If NE wins, MIA will fall further behind BAL. If NE wins however, BAL would have a better chance of snagging a bye week.

KC@ OAK: this is one of the best matchups of the week, surprisingly. Interim QB Matt McGloin could seriously impress the FO with an upset win at home against the stout KC defense. OAK has the #14 passing defense and the #15 rushing defense, so they could could provide a lot of problems for Smith and Charles. KC needs a win to maintain their playoff momentum.

CIN@ PIT: huge AFC North implications! PIT could really help BAL with an upset win at the Ketchup Bottle. PIT needs to win out to avoid having their first losing season in the Big Ben era.

Always fear a home team coming off an ugly road loss.

I think the ravens are going to steam roll the rest of there games.I see the team coming together and winning at the right time of year . snow/bad weather aside the last couple games the offense is starting to click and Pitta is better then ever !

For some unexplainable reason, I'm more worried about the Pats than Lions game.

The Pats defense has numerous injuries and now their offense has been neutered again with the loss of Gronk. This Lions game worries me far more. Poor tackling and dropped INTs could spell disaster against this very dangerous team. We have to wrap up Reggie Bush. And their DL scares me. Suh and Fairley are very disruptive and I still don't trust our interior OL. The only real threat on the Pats is Brady, and one man can only do so much.

This is true if we are talking the Pats, Broncos, Colts of the past, etc.  But the Lions have had a tradition of losing, sometimes those type of teams can continue to spiral down even after an ugly road loss.

This is going to be the second Thursday Night game worth watching. Ravens-Steelers was the only game on Thursday Night Football worth watching. This is only the second, and it's week 15.

time to take miami outside the porch and wait for the gunshot

Brady just lost his main offensive weapon... again. No way it is happening. Patriots have no offensive weapons, their D is injured and the Dolphins just dropped 30+ points on Pittsburgh.

They dropped 30 on pittsburgh... we dropped 55 on pittsburgh. We can get er dun probably another comeback win like 23-27. As for week 16 well that's a different story. Also let's not forget they would have lost that game too if that clumsy oaf antonio brown was more careful of his footing when no one was around him.

Yeah, that's why I said unexplainable.

I must admit, I'm worried little bit more after Elam's remarks.

Wow, I can believe I'll be cheering for the Pats this week. That feels so wrong. I think people are underrating Miami. They are hitting their stride, while NE has a badly injured defense and is without Gronk. The Pats ride or die with Brady and Brady without Gronk, is like Flacco without Pitta. Literally, look up the stats.

I still hope Brady pulls this one off. We need them to win this game.

Since our game is on MNF, I can watch Pats and Miami if they show it on CBS.....this year I didn't get NFL package unfortunately..

For so long, I have to root for the Pats to win.....

Can't believe the teams we're going to be rooting for this week.  Makes me feel dirty inside.

Oh wel, goooooo Broncos!

San Diego is pretty unlikely to make the playoffs at this point. A Denver loss would be nice. Get KC in 1st so we have a chance of playing Denver at home and they'll have to win one more round.

I think I would prefer to play KC tbh.  Denver would be so intense after what we did to them last year - they have a whole lot more to lose than we do.  Emotionally, they'd have so much more firepower than us.

Also, I don't know if our offense can keep up with Denver, no matter how bad their defense has been lately.

Hate players like Julius Thomas , talks too much for my liking

Agree. That's why I hate Eric Decker too.
