I'm okay with that. We already have @ Detroit this week on MNF. The world doesn't need that much us.

:P  ......... You meant to say "The world can't handle that much us"

Who gives a rat's behind. 4, 8, 1. Whoop the patsies like we own them.

I wish they had moved it to 1:00 so we would have the possibility of some sunshine. I hate 4:00 starts.

Sun while tailgating?  That's at least sumthin'.

It's just the principle behind it. I am sick and tired of NBC shoving the NFC east down our throats so much. Dallas will never win their week 17 elimination game, because they are about as clutch as well, Tony Romo in Seattle in the Playoffs. The Ravens and Bengals could fight for the AFC North crown in week 17. Yet they will still flex the Cowboys Eagles game in an attempt to HOPE America's team can finally win.

Some of us don't live in BMore. As long as I can catch the game on CBS I'll be fine though. Have a weird feeling about this Detroit game.

Replaces GB-Pitt. as CBS's national game at 4.

Figured it would have became the national game at 4. NFL knows the rivalry that we have begun with the Patriots, and so it was smart to put it on at a time when everyone can watch it.

Feels like the Cowboys are always on week 17

And, this game will draw so many more viewers than Bears-Eagles. Really doesn't make sense no matter which way you spin it.

You can't be certain of this. Chicago and Philly metro TV market is bigger than Pats and Baltimore TV market. This is regardless of the fact that the Pats are a good national draw. The Ravens are not and natinal draw, and our brand of Fb is hard to watch for the viewer that is not a Ravens fan. We not battling NE for playoff position.

As PFT put it....

Chicago is currently tied with Detroit for NFC North supremacy (though the Lions own the tiebreaker), while Philadelphia is currently one game ahead of Dallas in the NFC East. That makes Bears-Eagles a big game.

That is why we were flexed out. If we were any better and a high playoff seeding was on the line this game wouldn't have been flexed out. Though I highly expect Ravens-Bengals to come down to Week 17 and be flexed into SNF so that will make up for this.

Don't buy it for one second. They kept Cincy/Pitt game in Primetime rather than flexing anything to replace it.

There are a ton of games more important than that one.

Disprespect once again.

Oh yeah so of course also now means I won't get it here on TV.

Yeah, I'm certain, actually. Past two AFCCG have been Ravens-Pats. This rivalry is now legendary. We aren't battling the Pats for playoff position, but they're fighting for the first spot and we're fighting for a division championship. Gotta be crazy not to think this rivalry won't get higher ratings than the Eagles and Bears…...

Ravens fans are so sensitive. A time ago, the Ravens were hated, desrespected by the league and general fans. That is not the case now. However, a there are few factoids about our team that make it difficult for the Ravens to get favorable TV exposure:

1) Our offense is hard to watch

2) We are a small TV market

3) We are not a huge national draw like the Pats, GB, Pitt, and Dallas

Who cares about all that you just spewed out?! The only thing that matters is, 5 consecutive(about to be 6) playoff appearances, a win in the playoffs every year, 3 AFC title game appearances, and a Super Bowl victory. Who gives a crap about market size? We have THE BEST franchise in the league when talking about the success of the last 5 years.

The NFL cares.  They are all about the money.

The Pats, who you say are a huge national draw, are playing in the game that got flexed. Holy crap.

Right. Which is why they can keep having Dallas LOSE in week 17 on SNF in their win or go home game, and we will just prove how dangerous we are if we make it to the dance.

Why the complaints?
You'll just get to see Baltimore win earlier

No I won't. I'll get the friggin' Steelers.

Actually, the NFC in general. 9 1/2 games of SNF through only Week 15 will now be NFC.

It sucks, but I hate late night games. And Alshon Jeffery is one of my favorite players to watch. That TD before half last night was absolutely ridiculous!!!! How does a DB cover that?!? I really wanted us to get him in the draft, but oh well.

Actually neither Philly or Dallas can clinch the NFC East this week and neither Chicago, Detroit or Green Bay can clinch the North. Thus why they chose that game.

Though it does make you wonder how they kept Redskins-Giants on SNF yet they flexed Ravens-Patriots out of SNF.

The NFC East matchups are ratings gold.  That's why, even in years like this, CBS and Fox always protect Cowboys-Redskins from being flexed to NBC.

I will be okay with this as long as I still get to watch the game.  I don't live in Baltimore or have DirectTV, so I was counting on this being one of the few matchups I could watch live.  If you think about it in terms of this replacing Pitt-GB as the national game on CBS, it makes more sense.  Now both the national 4:25 game AND the Sunday Night game are meaningful.  This move helps CBS more than it does NBC.

Wow! Makes sense, why would anyone want to see Tom Brady vs. Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco?

Maybe if this was arguably the best non-conference rivalry in football or was a rematch of the last TWO AFC Championship games I could understand this decision... oh wait....

And they wonder why we have a chip on our shoulder.

Its ok... Baltimore vs. Everyone!

I'm not from or in Baltimore, but I get this mentality.

And what does that have to do with TV ratings?
