WR Brandon Stokley to IR

They should have kept him in my opinion.  Does not sound like his injury is season ending, but I'm no doctor.

 

It's not just the concussion.  It's multiple concussions.  When you have so many, the protocol is longer in order to play.  If he's going to miss 2 or 3 weeks before he's able to play or even participate and hope to play, it makes sense.  I think Pitta has taken his 3rd down role anyway.  it seems that Stokley's injuries just keep mounting up and they're tired of playing this "maybe he'll play, maybe he won't" game every week.

Stokley was a nice weapon on third downs. Likable guy/player.

I'd actually like to see Brandon hang around as a coach in some way. I know this year that's basically what he'll be, just another coach like voice for the WRs. But maybe even going forward he could work with the guys. He's a really strong route runner and that's an area that all of our guys can improve on.
