That is true and I guess I was born to be a Ravens fan since I had a pacemaker through childhood.

I'm sure the doctors would understand if you went in and said this:

Doc: What seems to be the problem.

You: I need a pacemaker.

Doc: Any problems with your heart?

You: Nope.

Doc: You a Ravens fan?

You: Yes.

Doc: I understand completely, let's get started.

Here's my thoughts on the defense and the wild defensive collapses.

First, the defensive rankings this season are much improved versus last year which was horrible.
But yesterday was not the first or the second time that this defense failed to make a stop during a critical 4th qtr drive. It's happen numerous times this season, where one defensive stop could either protect the lead or get the offense the ball back and they couldn't make that stop. Fans have screamed the Defense was tired in most cases but it's happen more than once.

It's amazing how well the defense can play for 3 qtrs then in the 4th quarter they go haywire

Some of the missed tackles yesterday can be attributed to the elements, preventing defenders from taking good angles. Elam fell flat on his face when attempting to change directions , although I don't think he would have caught Patterson regardless because I've seen Patterson make other explosive plays this season.

The poor tackling on Gerhart was just horrible took me back to that Dallas game last season. But the entire NFL is plagued with bad tackling that's partial due to less practices now.

Its the late game defensive collapses that render all Stats Based comparisons to last year irrelevant.

Pitta was a large factor. Six catches for good yardage, a TD and a Key P.I. against.

Jimmy nearly brought Toby down, he really impresses every time the ball is near him. Tucker going in for the hit but getting bulldozed was amazing to watch as well.

I must say as much as I don't like the defensive collapse... the weather conditions give a huge advantage to a ball carrier going full steam ahead. It's harder for a defender to change directions if the ball carrier cuts a little bit.

You sir, along with the rest of the crowd, get the Honor Badge of Fandom. That was some nasty weather.

How many people do you think were there?

I live in Philly now, but my fiancé takes me down for a game every year in December. We stay with my brother on Saturday night and then go to the game in the morning. No snow was going to break our tradition.

Honestly, I couldn't guess how many fans there were. I was 4th row corner of the end zone, ravens side line and our section was pretty close to full. It looked like most of the lower level was but it was tough to see the upper levels.

Either way the fans that were there were all incredible. It was just one of the most amazing things to be a part of.

Cool.  It was an epic game and that's a great tradition! I used to sit 5 rows up, between the goal posts. Pretty awesome hearing the helmets and pads crash. Gives you a little more feel being close to the action, until they are at the other end and you are watching the jumbotron.  lol

This woman at work said she was flipping back and forth between the skins and our game and there were more people in the stands at the skins game. Hard to believe that.

If AP's only complaints were about poor officiating and some fans throwing snowballs, that's pretty classless and petty on his part. I'd have been throwing snowballs too to stay awake when the score was 12-7 with just over two minutes to play. Up to that point , the game was pretty boring.  As for the poor officiating, AP, you'll just have to get used to it! We have to deal with it 16 times a year ALL DAY LONG. Its part of the new NFL.  I haven't been to Minnesota to a game to be in a position to comment on the classiness or classlessness of their fans. I'm sure they don't throw snowballs but I assume the officiating is just as bad although most of the hometown calls probably go in AP's favor.

IIRC, when their stadium roof collapsed a few years back and the Vikings had to play at Gopher Stadium, their fans didn't have a problem throwing snowballs at the Bears (I think), FWIW

Bruce Cunningham has to stop saying with great emphasis:  "It's 3rd Down!"

It just fires up the othe team. Pittsburgh had five 3rd down conversions in the fourth quarter.  Minnesota scored it's second touchdown in the last two minutes on a third down.

The announcer. Are you telling me that the announcer emphasizing that it's third down actually fires up the other team? Wow.
