Disagree. It was only Webb and the safeties being targeted. Jimmy was shut down.  If it was prevent, Jimmy would have been targeted a little more in zone.

Yeah, they went at Webb from the start. Not sure if he will ever return to form, but I hope so.

He missed those tackles? Scheme had zero to do with those colossal screw ups. Completely on the players. Missed tackles and the inability to shed blocks and pursue the ball carrier have nothing to do with scheme.

Clearly you were unable to recognize his detrimental play calling.

I mean, if scheme was the issue, wouldn't Jimmy have been targeted more? If scheme was the issue, why did Gerhart have so much success running up the middle and on the left side? If scheme was the issue, why did the D only allow 6 points in the first half? If the scheme was the issue, the D would have allowed more than that, right?

Guess I was too busy noticing our linebackers and defensive backs looking like a bunch of toddlers trying to tackle and falling on their ass.

While I wouldnt care whether we upgrade either of our coordinators (Pees or Caldwell).. Elam and Ihedibgo both badly missed tackles on 2 seperate TDs so it looked a lot more like player mishaps to me. Very disappointed with Matt Elam...needs work bigtime, and with Megatron on deck next Monday night Elam will have nightmares. But I will say that Pees could definitely be upgraded.

I agree. While Pees isn't necessarily creative or has a knack for a well-timed house blitz, he's got to be shaking his head watching our safeties pirouette like freakin' second grade ballerinas when making an open field tackle. Frankly, they are an insult to those ballerinas...good gravy!

It's really a broken record all season.
The defense has played pretty solid for about 3qtrs or 3.5 qtrs before just imploding. The offense looks inept for over half the game. Both coordinators need to make quicker in game adjustments to put players in position to make impact plays. Whether than be throwing screens or slants to allow the WR to gain yac or calling an exotic blitz to confuse an offense.

I'm really irritated that Torrey smith didn't get targeted early and often. Put him in motion, run some crossing routes, bubble screens, call a pick play something to get the ball in his hands.

Dean Pees cant run on  the field and make tackles for James Ihedgibo and Matt Elam...watch the Gerhart TD and the Patterson TD and you will see HORRIFIC tackling and overall D by our safeties. Bad playmaking...PERIOD

THANK you.  Stop blaming Pees, people.  He made good calls all game.  In fact, on that Patterson screen, the call he made was PERFECT for that.  Plenty of defensive guys free to make the tackle...they...just.....couldn't.  That's not his fault at all.

His play calling deep in the 4th quarter is softer than a new born cat.  3 man rush, wide 9 alignment and Canty over the Centre?

Are you kidding me?

This is nothing new.  Pees' defense has continued to fold when it matters most.  We got lucky in the Super Bowl because the 49ers decided not to run the ball from the 3 yard line and Kaepernick threw a balloon into the 1st row on 4th down.  This is not a defense it's hard to move the ball on when you really need a drive and aren't feeling things out in the first half.

This defense is more talent then your giving them credit for. This defense should be NASTY.

But no. We are not. It's not just that, it's also the lack of good coaching he provides... Just smh

Don't try to reason with the Pees haters. They'll just try and tell you we should have blitzed that play..... Lol!

Then why didn't they make tackles? How did we need sack and pick off Cassel? Why did they allow an AP-less Viking offense to score 26 points? Tell me why!

Clearly you have no idea what you're talking about.  The defensive calls made were darn good.  We blitzed when we needed to, we called man when it was warranted and up until the last two minutes of the quarter, our D held AP to what, 15 yards total before he went out and Cassel to a bunch of garbage yards and no TDs.  What more do you want?  Our PLAYERS screwed the pooch there, not the play calls.

I'm not calling for Pees to be fired, but it was a combination of his play calling and poor play.  It was pretty obvious that there were breakdowns at the end.  That's on the players.  But on the other side of things, Pees goes into prevent mode way too early.  He plays so much softer with a lead.

UH, YEA!  Because THAT play call the screen was coming.  PERFECT play call for that.  Our guys..just..didn't..make..the..play!!  How is that NOT a great call for a screen?

Right, we should have blitzed and left even LESS tacklers on the field to take down Patterson.  That makes sense .

Thank you for winning, Baltimore! That is all that matters, in the end.

How is that a great call for a screen?  It was a 2 deep safety look with man coverage underneath.

Thats not a great call by any means.

Adrian Peterson on twitter: "Wow talking about bad officiating & the worst fan base I've ever experience! They threw snow balls the entire 4q like lil kids. Smh"

Little extreme in my opinion. Also just because some Ravens fans threw some snowballs, that doesn't make us the worst fan base.

See prevent defense play call in 2 minute frill

It wasn't a prevent defense.  See, prevent defenses are stacked three, four, and four.  We didn't stack three, four and four during Minny's two minutes drill.  We stacked four, three and four with one of the four coming back to the three and one of the four coming up to the three.  It was an attempt to confuse the offense.  Apparently it confused you.

If you ask the people here, it would have made all the difference because organized chaos is the best and Raven defenses blitz and hit QBs because you better fear us because we will knock you out! Only soft defenses call zone coverage! Ravens defenses are fierce and fiery and they blitz every play! I want rex Ryan back cause he had organized chaos and that's what our guys need.

As a DC it's your responsibility to make sure you have the correct combination of player personnel and play calling every snap, Pees failed to do this especially in the 4th quarter, where it matters most.

AP is mad because when he was in the game he wasn't doing squat and his team lost.
