We've moved up 4 spots in one week to the number 2 spot right behind the Titans. The Steelers are number 3.

Because the Eagles are a good Team! They just kicked the crap out of the Giants at Giants Stadium, and earlier in the year they kicked the Crap out of Pittsburgh! They have a Top 10 Defense & Offense! They are actually pretty good! The benching of McNabb in our game, seems to have lit a fire under them, and pulled them out of their funk!

The Eagles are no joke. If they make it to the playoffs you better not sleep on them. I said from the beginning the Eagles were a better team than the Giants. The Eagles with a healthy Brian Westbrook is a dangerous team. We didn't beat a team full of chumps when we faced them. We beat probably the best team in the NFC right now. Say I'm crazy but I'm telling you they are no joke. I said the same thing about the Titans b4 the season started. Philly struggled bcuz of Westbrook's injuries and started off slow bcuz they lost several close games by less than a TD (games they should have won). Their Defense is underrated especially their D-line and McNabb is way under appreciated. (And we dominated them) The only reason we lost to the Giants was bcuz of all the hype leading up to the game about the #1 D #1 rushing O and our defense got distracted. It got into their heads and they made it bigger than it needed to be. We lost to the Titans and Steelers by a fg bcuz we were still green as a team. We've matured since then and I think if we had a rematch with any of the teams we lost to we would come out with the W. The Colts was a tough loss but that was after 4 straight physical games and we were just drained.

3 physical divisional Games in a row, then the smashmouth Titans, then the 1-2 Colts at their home doing anything they could to get back to .500...it was a setup game. I'm not scared of the colts if we face them in the playoffs.

Eagles
Giants
Panthers

in that order are the best teams in the NFC right now. Whether or not the Eagles make the playoffs remains to be seen, but if they can win out...I'm predicting they'll sneak in and if that happens no team is gonna want to see them in the playoffs. I'm telling you the Eagles are a dangerous team with a healthy Westbrook. They are no joke. The Power Rankings IMO are pretty accurate.

Well according to this theory, the Steelers are better than the Ravens. Because they did beat us. Such contradicting remarks.

So I guess this means the Eagles going into New York, and kicking the living Crap out of the Giants was totally unimpressive!! Doing what no team has done this year!

And then you're going to compare it to the Jets losing AT San Fran, when they've already lost AT Oakland!

I just don't see where you're coming from. I guess you just hate the Eagles!

I'm not sure I'm buying that chart, but the weirdest thing was the poll of who the readers think should be number one.

They list the Giants, Titans, Steelers, Buccaneers, and Panthers. Those teams' rankings in their own list are #'s 5, 1, 3, 10!, and 4. Skipped right over their own #2 ranked team.

They picked the first five in their own list, skipping the #2 ranked Ravens and then dropped all the way down to 10!

Weird.

I wish they would have put the Lions in the poll. I would have voted for them just because of the slight.

Exactly what?

They played them in the Meadow Lands, no wait they DOMINATED them in the Meadowlands in a game that could have clinched the Giants as the NFC East Division Champs, Tampa and Carolina are still breathing down their neck for home field advantage, and if the Giants would have beaten the Eagles they would have basically eliminated any threat of seeing them in January and would have crushed any hope of the Eagles making the playoffs.

You're either naive or stupid, if you think the Eagles aren't a serious team.

It's still impressive. But I wouldn't call the Eagles a better team than the Giants just because they won a head to head. And BTW, the Eagles did lose to them the first time.

It's not a theory. This is December football. The Eagles beat the Giants at their home in December. They had more on the line then the Ravens losing to the Steelers on the road 4 games into the season...

The Eagles should have won that game. Shoulda, coulda, woulda ya I know but if you watched that game then you would know the Eagles were the better team and the Giants caught a break. They didn't beat the Eagles the Eagles beat themselves. Big difference. The Eagles lost by 4 points in Dallas and that game could have gone either way. They beat the Steelers, lost to the Bears on a goaline stand, lost to the Redskins in a hard fought game, lost to the Giants by 6 in a game they should have won, and they lost to us at M&T stadium. Westrbook has been injured for the majority of the season. If Eli Manning went down would you still think the Giants are as good as they are now? No. Westbrook is back, now they can get back to domination.

how does this make them better than the Giants? they've been consistent all season long and have more impressive wins than the iggles.

Normally the better team wins...

I said from the beginning the Eagles were the better of the 2. It's not like I'm just now saying it. They ARE the better team. It just so happens they recently beat the Giants. Ok. Who declared the Giants the better team? What makes them better than the Eagles? The Eagles have the better QB, the Better RB, the better Defense, the better ST, the better kicker...This is what makes them better. If they make the playoffs and face the giants i'll put my money on McNabb.

The Giants beat all the teams the Eagles couldn't beat except for Chicago because they don't play them. Not to mention they smoked our Ravens like a cheap cuban cigar!

please don't even play the injury card! The Giants lost Usi Umenyiora (sp?) for the year arguably their best d-lineman, played a few games without Plax, their top WR(also out for the rest of the year).

This is why I like the NFL any team will match up against another and something new can happen.

This is also why I don't like power rankings x beat y who got beat by z but blah blah blah. Eagles may be doing awesome now but it will take an act of god for them to get back to games that matter. But they did show us Eli can't figure out the weather thing right now.
