I AM LEGEND

Remaining 4 Games

Ignoring numbers- age, passing efficiency, TDs, etc.- is idiotic. Not to mention Brady has the best
receiving corps of the QBs mentioned and a better O-line than Stafford and Wilson.

Brady has three slot receivers that were practically nobodies before they put on a Patriots uniform. The only great weapon he has is Gronk.

Brady: 3,267 yd, 19 TD, 10 TO, 60.7%, 89.2 QBR, 1 TD pass per 172 yd

Stafford: 3,825 yd, 27 TD, 17 TO, 59.2%, 89.6 QBR, 1 TD pass per 142 yd

Newton: 2,616 yd, 19 TD, 12 TO, 61.7%, 88.1 QBR, 447 rush yd, 6 rush TD, 1 TD pass per 138 yd

Wilson: 2,672 yd, 22 TD, 11 TO, 64.9%108.5 QBR, 456 rush yd, 1 rush TD, 1 TD pass per 121 yd

It's time to stop the Brady worship.  We as Ravens fans should know better.  One should keep in mind:

Stafford only has 1 reliable receiver, yet he's thrown for 558 more yd, the equivalent of almost 2 extra games.

Newton likewise only has 1 trusty receiver: a TE.  Newton has a better completion % and an equal number of TD passes as Brady, despite throwing 7.62% less than Brady.  CAR is 30th in passing play percentage.  He also contributes a lot to his team through his rushing game.

Wilson has a very ragtag receiving corps and throws the ball less than any other QB in the league.  Despite this, he has 3 more TD passes and a QBR 19.3 pt higher than Brady.  He also provides a rushing boost.

"Numbers don't lie, check the scoreboard."

Not sure why you have an emphasis on yards per touchdown... that's a meaningless stat.

Here's an example of something that could be feasible... The team gets an average of 30 yards per drive.  The QB accounts for about 2/3 of the yards per drive through the passing game.  He also throws a passing TD on 1/6 of their drives.  OK... So after 24 drives, that's 4 touchdowns and 480 yards from the QB.  That comes down to 120 yards per touchdown.

Now, how about someone whose team gets 42 yards per drive, the QB accounts for 3/4 of those yards, and he scores a passing touchdown on 1/4 of his drives.  After 24 drives, that's 6 touchdowns and 756 yards from the QB, which comes down to 126 yards per touchdown.

It's blatantly obvious that the second quarterback does more of the work for his offense than the other one, and he has his offense consistently getting more yards and more touchdowns per drive, but he has the higher "yards per touchdown" statistic.

I think the Ravens are really gearing up for this run. They're talking like it, at least. One game at a time and let's get this!

This just hit me...and of course its all debatable....which is why I'm posting it but...

In the last 4 games we are facing arguably the top 4 skilled position players in their respective position.

A.P. - best Rb in the game

MEGATRON & AJ -best 2 wide Receivers

Tom Brady- best QB in football

Would you agree?

Since Rogers is out I'll put Brady as number 2 right now after Brees.

That Brees and Payton combination is just as deadly as Brady/Belichick

But none the less our last 3 games will make or break us, LITERALLY. And the odds  aren't in our favor, but then when are they ever?  B)

Looking at the next 3 games really makes you choked we lost to the Bears with a backup QB and Browns with a backup QB.

Tom Brady is one of the top 5 greatest QBs of all time. Probably top 3 and maybe even the best ever. There's no argument to be made regarding Cam Newton, Matt Stafford, or Russell Wilson. This is coming from somebody who hates Tom Brady.

6 yd/ per TD is a very small margin, though.

Don't let your hate cloud your judgement. You're talking about a guy that has 3 rings, has been to 5 super bowls, and holds the single season TD pass record. Come on man.

Watching him play, he's just not a GOAT type of QB. He benefited from a lot of varied and peculiar circumstances to reach all of those SBs and doesn't deserve half of the praise he gets. And he's soft.

There are a bunch of QBs that have been head and shoulders better than him, past and present.  Unitas, Montana, Elway, Peyton, Brees, Marino, etc. to name a few. For me, SBs are not the main criteria for the ranking of a QB's ability and performance.

Lol, I was just about to say that. Manning, Brees and Wilson are better, at this point. Plus Cam and arguably Stafford.

yes, but all of these teams are BEATABLE!

vikes have ap, but also have cassell.  nuff said

lions have megatron, but stafford can get wild with picks and we love to eat those up.  (bucs beat them by the way)

patriots have tom brady but we have his number.  also, texans almost beat them and our defense is better

bengals have aj green but we successfully render him a non factor the past few meetings.

We have Brady's number? It's been back and forth with him; one minute you believe you have his number, then you don't.

Brady with our O-line from the first three weeks would be terrible.
Brady benefits from a great O-line (the time he has to make most passes is un real) and an amazing head coach.

Peyton is leaps and bounds better and smarter (and cooler)
Than princess Brady.

Yeah, he gets all day to throw in the pocket!  And he's under the tutelage of the Sith Lord, arguably the greatest coach of the modern era.  Brady's cooler though, since he has a Victoria's Secret Angel for a wife. ;)

Agree with Rodgers, but Gordon ain't all that. If he keeps it up he can get in the conversation of top 10 WRs.

80 yard TD today... 180 yards also

I know man its kinda sad. Just give the man his due. He's not overrated he's in the conversation when it comes to G.O.A.T. even though I give old timers a difficulty curve that bumps them ahead of them. He was gifted his first Superbowl but he has proven to be the epitome of a hard working super focused QB who wins despite the naysayers. I don't like him at all i think his whole career is a result of that stupid rule but he deserves it as one of the hardest working players of all time.

Back on topic, we will see how much he has left vs a hot Ravens team that is also battle tested and has won in bad weather.
