I AM LEGEND

Remaining 4 Games

71 posts in this topic

This just hit me...and of course its all debatable....which is why I'm posting it but...

In the last 4 games we are facing arguably the top 4 skilled position players in their respective position.

A.P. - best Rb in the game

MEGATRON & AJ -best 2 wide Receivers

Tom Brady- best QB in football

Would you agree?

yes, but all of these teams are BEATABLE!

vikes have ap, but also have cassell.  nuff said

lions have megatron, but stafford can get wild with picks and we love to eat those up.  (bucs beat them by the way)

patriots have tom brady but we have his number.  also, texans almost beat them and our defense is better

bengals have aj green but we successfully render him a non factor the past few meetings.

Lol, I was just about to say that. Manning, Brees and Wilson are better, at this point. Plus Cam and arguably Stafford.

No one is ever going to agree on the best skill positions but your point is valid.

We are facing some of the best at their positions in the next four weeks. Have to play focused football, no stupid mistakes.

Purple shades and all, the only game I'm really worried about, is the Lions game.

Right at the moment I can not think or worry beyond Sun. and the Vikings. When we win that one I will start worrying about the good position players for the Lions. Keep AP contained and watch out for Patterson. Come on Ravens - WIN !!

All beatable. 2 @ home. Last 2 might be meaningless to both NE and Cincinnati depending on what happens following weeks. Key for me is to be behind Bengals by 1 game in finale. Bengals could lose to Colts or at Pittsburgh or both. DONT trust Cincinnati in a winner take all game in finale.

Every game has its potential pitfalls, but we can beat Detroit in Detroit.  We've seen them have their struggles.

Get pressure on Stafford, bracket Calvin, and throw it deep on their secondary.  We should have success with the pass in the fast dome against a weak secondary.

The patriots game is our biggest test because i think its an indicator of how we will do if we make it to the playoffs. That's the game that will make or break us.

Detroit is the only team that I think we will lose to. Megatron, Reggie Bush, and Stafford are lethal on offense. On defense, their D-line should MAN-HANDLE our O-line.......Suh n Fairley will feast on Shipley n Gino :bitenails:

And being on the road doesn't help either. I'm not confident against them either but it can be done!

Our final record is still very much in doubt. The Best Case Scenario is we win out and finish 10-6. TheWorst Case Scenario is we lose all four games and finish 6-10. There is a very small margin of error
between the two records. The most likely scenario is that we finish 8-8. The two games we are most
likely to lose are to Detroit and NE. The two games we are most likely to win are to Minnesota and
Cincinnati. I hope an 8-8 record will get us into the playoffs but I doubt it. The other teams
competing with us for the 6th and final playoff spot have much easier roads to a 9-7 record. I would
use the challenging schedule to motivate the team to prove the doubters wrong but one thing is for
sure. The most important game in our season should be the next game and this simple truth should be
enough to motivate our players if they hope to extend our season for the sixth consecutive year.
Go Ravens!

I actually think Josh Gordon is the 2nd best WR and Rodgers is the best QB

Agree with Rodgers, but Gordon ain't all that. If he keeps it up he can get in the conversation of top 10 WRs.

O_o

Lol no

Brady: 3,267 yd, 19 TD, 10 TO, 60.7%, 89.2 QBR, 1 TD pass per 172 yd

Stafford: 3,825 yd, 27 TD, 17 TO, 59.2%, 89.6 QBR, 1 TD pass per 142 yd

Newton: 2,616 yd, 19 TD, 12 TO, 61.7%, 88.1 QBR, 447 rush yd, 6 rush TD, 1 TD pass per 138 yd

Wilson: 2,672 yd, 22 TD, 11 TO, 64.9%108.5 QBR, 456 rush yd, 1 rush TD, 1 TD pass per 121 yd

It's time to stop the Brady worship.  We as Ravens fans should know better.  One should keep in mind:

Stafford only has 1 reliable receiver, yet he's thrown for 558 more yd, the equivalent of almost 2 extra games.

Newton likewise only has 1 trusty receiver: a TE.  Newton has a better completion % and an equal number of TD passes as Brady, despite throwing 7.62% less than Brady.  CAR is 30th in passing play percentage.  He also contributes a lot to his team through his rushing game.

Wilson has a very ragtag receiving corps and throws the ball less than any other QB in the league.  Despite this, he has 3 more TD passes and a QBR 19.3 pt higher than Brady.  He also provides a rushing boost.

Bringing out the guns eh. The only problem is consistency. Stafford and Newton can be god awful passing wise at times while Brady gives you Brady most of the time. But i agree talent wise Stafford and Newton are up there and are in the conversation.

Stafford always keeps his teams in games, which is to be commended. When he makes mistakes, he's able to rein himself in and stage comebacks, or near-comebacks.

I don't care what stats you throw at me, nothing is going to convince me that Wilson, Stafford, and Newton are better than Tom Brady. That's idiotic.

Ignoring numbers- age, passing efficiency, TDs, etc.- is idiotic. Not to mention Brady has the best
receiving corps of the QBs mentioned and a better O-line than Stafford and Wilson.

Best Receiving corps?

For a good portion of the year he was throwing to 2 rookies WRs..had no TE and Julian Edleman was his biggest threat. Hence......those good but not great stats.

Could you imagine....brady....and.....MEGATRON....on the same team. It'd be better than Brady/Moss imo.

And I like Josh Gordon....I'd love to see him on a team with a decent QB..but as of now he's still just a developing talent...no where near the consistency to be called 2nd best receiver.

If its not AJ..which I think it is....I think the only suitable substitutions would be Fitz, Julio or Dez.

Even tho I don't like Dez's routine...hes been making a believer outta me this year as far as his skills go.

These last 4 are tough games for sure with each team having marquis players. But at this time of year the whole means even more than the parts and the Ravens seem poised to put solid Team efforts together. The lions game scares me the most, but they are far from being unbeatable.

Sounds like Flacco.
