I think it would be good if you created a counterpart for the "Highest Reputation Content" feature. It would help to inform some of the new members about what's considered acceptable and what's not.

That would be a great idea if everyone gave positives and negatives based on the same standard, that standard being the board rules which define what is acceptable and what is not acceptable.  Your proposal is based on the assumption that all posters adhere to that assumption.  As sad as it is to state, that is probably not always the case.  As a part of human nature people tend to see things relative to their own point of view, therefore some might react/overreact for reasons of emotion, retaliation, etc. rather than a rule standard based on equity and fairness.

 

Respectfully, if new members need additional help in deciding what is acceptable or not regarding their behavior on the website, that's what the board rules and the addendum of further explanations are there for.  A lowest reputation content would serve no positive purpose, and is not what we strive for here at BR.com. But thanks for your suggestion.
