Sundays Match-up

12 posts in this topic

We know our Defense will hault the Steelers offense, but can our Offense get it going against the league's #1 ranked Defense?

Joe Flacco has improved emencely since the first meeting and I think he'll play good on sunday. And since we play at home, Big Benny will be taking a few big hit's with the purple crosshairs lining him up all day. My prediction: a hard faught physical game, but because of the new found dicipline that has developed over the course of the season, Two AFC north teams will be 10-4 on sunday.

I can't believe we have averaged 29ppg in the last 4 out of 5 and that we have only allowed 12. It WILL be a tough physical game, however I don't think it will tie. Both teams will be playing their hearts out to make sure somebody wins.

Woah now, hold on a second...you can tie in the NFL?

This game will definately be very physical, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I think whoever can score first will be more likely to win.

For some strange reason I think this is the week of all weeks that the Steelers just do not show. That jumbo O line package looks great and we didn't run a lot of that when we played them the last time. I think we'll have better protection for Flacco this time around he is obviously more experienced and makes smarter decisions. I also think that now is the time to unleash the full onslaught of trick plays in Cam's bag. The Steelers are built to stop conservative offenses, plug the running gaps forcing opponents to throw, knowing when they have to and forcing 3 and outs or picks. But, if Cam gets really creative and very random in his play calling then they can't lock on to find any rhythm and I think we need to strike fast. They are going to start off blitzing the hell out of us trying to cause some pressure and will leave open pockets down field.

Flacco 198yds 2 TD 1 INT
Clayton 1 passing TD
McClain 88 yds 1 TD
Mason TD
Heap TD
Defensive TD
Stover 2 FG

Ravens win 34-13 (nobody sees it coming, including Ravens fans)

This will cleary be a tough game but I am confident we will win. Why? Not only is our offense playing better than the first game but so is our defense. Factoring in the fact that we now have home field advantage, Joe is much improved, our o-line is playing very well, and our defense is really starting to dominate and I think we will win by a touchdown. But as I said in another board, this game will be decided by the offensive tackles for both teams. The first time our tackles got beat resulting in the fumble for a touchdown which cost us the game. I expect Gaither and Anderson to play much better. I also expect the Steelers line to continue to stink like they have all season and Suggs/Johnson/Pryce will dominate.

Keep it close and give yourself a chance to win it is all you can ask. it will be tough, Steelers should have lost 3 or 4 games but seem to pull it out in the end some how.

It's because they are a great team with occasional lucky breaks. That's why I hate 'em lol

We have momentum that started with the Eagles and we are at home. Our D is peaking with O not far behind. I say we win by at least a touchdown.
