Anita Marks

I've noticed some words passed around about Anita and i have a thing or two to say about her..

She has never once stated something about the Ravens that wasn't compelety obvious. My example is " In my opion, ok, in my opion, i think the Ravens lost the game against the Giants when Aaron Ross had the int for a touchdown and Armahd Bradshaw's 77 yard rush"............................. seriously? i would of never knew the game was over on the two biggest plays of the game with out Anita stating her opinion 50 times in a talk show.

If i hear "In my opinion Willis Mcgahee is the best running back on this team" one more time.. 1.057 the fan will lose me as a listener.
The other commentators are legit though!

*annoying nasal droning* 'I STILL say Willis is the best back on the Ravens!!' 'I am NOT a Willis apologist!' Oh my GOD, but I wanted to strangle that impudent stripling of a woman. She may not be an apologist in the strictest sense of the word, but she's real close. AND she's wrong, at least at this point. Many callers called in to tell her to eat crow for what she said, and she wouldn't. She's not even honorable. What a horrible sportscaster..even Scott was agreeing with the callers.

When Flacco was struggling, she was one of the fools who said that Troy Smith needed to be put in. It wasn't just her, but still.

I like Anita Marks because she's one of the few local reporters who dont kick the Ravens when they are down but she is kind of annoying. She drinks way to much purple cool aid. I dont understand how anyone can seriously say Willis McGahee is still one of the better RB in the NFL. She kind of ticked me off today, no lie. Willis is a very talented running back but the fact is he's not producing. Right now at this moment Willis stinks and there is no way around that. And she cant seem to get that through her head. This is a what have you done for me lately league and you are only as good as your last game, Willis was terrible vs. the Redskins. And then she really ticked me off when she kept throwing LeRon McClains numbers out there and comparing them to Willis. The mere fact that a FULL BACKS numbers can even compare to that of a feature running back should be enough indication of how bad Willis really is.

Thats not a surprise. He and Anita dont agree on a lot of things. But I actually prefer her over him.

I admire Anita for being a tough women in a male dominated carrer. She's doing what I'm trying my hardest to do.. which will probablly be 10 times as hard for me. Although I DONT always agree with her football knowledge and way of veiwing things.

I like Anita more when she is the main person on the show, she doesn't have the same attitude when she is on the other side of the table. But, i think Roch should take over the show fully. He knows his Ravens and sure knows the Orioles.

I wouldn't admire her too much ravensgirl, it definetely seems like you have a lot more knowledge on football then her. Scott is good, he's a true Ravens fan.

Did you know she did PLAYBOY? Also, she was a womens football player, I cant stand her and WALLY WILLIAMS is a JOKE. I do love listening to Bruce Cunningham, and on Tuesday nights Jason Brown "In the Trenches"!

Bruce Cunningham is the man, I love his show. Anita can have some good insight, but a lot of it is obvious and she has gotten on my nerves before to the point where I turn it off.

Agreed, she's ok as a co host. I've been listening to 105.7 the fan lately with the playoff run so I've heard her more. I can understand why a lot of people don't like here. Plus she tries to play on her looks but really doesn't have any. It's kind of a slap in the fact to women trying to get into the business.

I absolutely LOVE bruce cunningham and scott garceau. anita i like better as an Orioles commentator, her knowledge for baseball is a lot better than that of her football knowledge. I agree that her voice is like nails on a chalkboard...

I will agree with you on your first point...it is still pretty much a male heavy job market for sports casters and like any person breaking in you have to do what you can to make it in and stay in...

BUT...the times I have listened to Anita and especially when she is interviewing someone she seems to want too much to be their friend and ask questions that in my mind are a bit softballish...if that's her style so be it... think there are alot of guys in and out of sports casting that do the same, Larry King is one

I personally like Amber Theoharris better...in my opinion she has more journalistic creds than Anita does...

I totally agree, I love Amber, even though her opinions are out there sometimes. But she seems to know the ins and outs of sports better then Anita. Plus, unlike Anita, she actually knows baseball.

I love listening to Amber's take on sports and what not...I had no idea she was from the town right over from where I live until I was looking at her info on a MASN website. thought that was pretty cool!

I change my mind, I cant stand this chick. Now that McAlister has been released she keeps taking little cheap shots at the Ravens. I seriously think there is or was something going on between those two.
