Kudos to the Ravens

I just want to take a moment to compliment the entire Ravens organization for the classy way they have handled the "Tomlin incident". Every player and coach who has spoken on it has done so with humor and class.

I am truly proud of our team.

Yep have to give them credit. Not sure how it would have went if we lost but....doesn't matter.

They're taking the high road, good for them.

Keep it Classy........

But I still think Flacco's "he stole my move" was hilarious

LOL, didn't know he said that, that's great. I was furious about it and am still kind of steaming, but as usual the Ravens have shown who has more class in this rivalry.

I agree congrats to the ravens staff and players classy is the way to keep it . I used so much profanity after that play I could burn just for that .

I really appreciate Jacoby Jones on the subject of blowing Tomlin up on the sideline. ( Which I would not of had a problem with. )
He said " I would not have done that. I am not that kind of person " ( or something to that effect )
Thanks for being classy Jacoby.

The only classless thing is those few Steelers fans (to be fair, most are being quite level minded in this matter) who see no wrong in what Tomlin did, are naive enough to believe his explanation, and try to compare it to Bell getting knocked out in the 4th quarter saying "number 22" should be fined and suspended.  First of all, I'm pretty sure the same rules don't apply to running backs as they do quarterbacks or defenseless receivers.  Secondly, number 22 (his real name is Jimmy Smith) doesn't look like he was the one that caused the helmet to come off.  Looked to me like Upshaw, or one of the middle linebackers, came across and took them both out.  And thirdly, in that play you have one running back diving for the end zone and two defenders diving to stop him.  What happened was unfortunate, and I actually think the rule that took the TD away from him is stupid, but it was applied correctly. And it didn't affect the outcome of the game at all.  Just sick and tired of people blindly protecting their own while ignoring the evidence.  I mean, we all saw the smirk.

If Harbaugh had done the same thing Steeler fans would be out for blood.

I agree; this season has had its disappointments as SB champs, but this win was HUGE - against a divisional rival with the same record, and for playoff contingencies per se. Why is Flacco never mentioned among the elite QBs of the league? Is there something I am missing? The precision he displays. His mobility is not a liability. His size. What does he need to do? Showcase another playoff run as good - statistically - as any QB ever? You guys could very well get in there for the playoffs, and...

Good luck, James :)

Tomlin's corner of the eye stare just churned me up. He knew what he was doing. He was looking out of the corner of his eye for seconds before he finally jumped out of the way. I just don't like cheaters. I'm glad we won, most of all because I can't stand the Steelers! With that said, I hope we also maintain the #6th seed after Sunday, because that will be a bummer to have it and lose it in the course of 3-4 days.

when I see how other teams act and react, like the Dolphins, Steelers, etc, that is how I know we are a class act.

Go my Ravens!!!

Anyone else think it says a lot about our fan base that a thread bashing our SB mvp QB has a bazillion responses, but a positive thread complimenting our organization gets so little attention?

Let's take a minute to thank these guys for being a great group of people to look up to, on and off the field. They have my gratitude.

That's not our fan base, just human nature. It's long been recognized that disgruntled people are more likely to speak out than satisfied people.

Put up the numbers that win people fantasy football leagues :) Until then, he is not elite.

Yeah, they all took the high road. Funny thing is that one of the talking heads on TV said that he would have and JJ should have bowled Tomlin over to force the penalty. Just shows that the sports goons have no class as well. No wonder they all support the Steelers.

Besides, remember, more than half that thread is people arguing with the "less than logical" trying to make them see reason as regards Joe's qualities. Uselessly trying to make them see reason. Haters got to hate.

Smart and modestly confident Team and organization. True class in the face of controversy and adversity.

Could you imagine the uproar if it had been Harbs that pulled such a stunt?  There would have been a two hour special on ESPN dissecting the play and discussing the possible punishment.

If you think about it, we wouldn't have known about the interference if not for the guys at NBC or whatever showing the replay, so kudos to them as well.

Also goes to show how classy the Steelers are when Sanders had the touchdown, did the Ray Lewis dance, then yells to the crowd [something entirely inappropriate]!". (Not kidding, check the replay on nfl.com)

Glad our team can keep it classy in Pittsburgh at least. Time to move on from this game though.

That is why there is a vent thread when we win lol

Got to hand it to our team for taking the high road on this topic. I'm not sure if I would've done the same thing. But it's entirely different when you're sitting at home comfortably on your couch watching it on replay than being right there.

Glad our fans spoke up about it as I'm also glad that NBC showed the replay multiple times. Great to showcase Tomlin being disrespectful to not only just the game, but the rules of the NFL.

Haha, but I do see the irony in me complaining about people complaining... Mind. Blown.

Anyway love this team and everything they stand for.
A side note....I grew up a huge baseball fan....what pushed me away from it was the expansion in 94 (or whenever that was when the Rockies and Marlins came in), and Peter Angelos.

I am thankful that Biscotti is not going to ruin my new favorite sport for me.

If its not our fan base, why don't you lock it like you lock many other threads that are not nearly as disgusting as the Joe Flacco is our man thread? Flacco detractors and haters use it to bash Joe. It reminds me of a quote from Brutus --- "We come to bury Caesar, not to praise him." Some of the posters are disgruntled as you say; others are trolls. In either case, the negative opinions expressed are trite and trivial. We get it --- ya can't stand Flacco! So root for another team or QB of your choice, trolls and dissatisfied BMore fans.
