Dude he got a 100,000 dollar fine! That's more than twice as much the average U.S. salary. Hardly just a slap on the wrist.

I'm shocked people are still whining about this. Get over it. Harbaugh and Jacoby are, why not you?

I'm with on this!  Sure, I vented like most here when it first went down and even went back and forth with my boys Baro and DW however, I'm sick of seeing this every few seconds on the sports channels.  And, I agree with Tomlin when he said yesterday; "I will no longer address this because I'm preparing for an important game against the Dolphins!"

It's time to stop beating a dead horse and move on Ravens Nation cause we have BIGGER fish to fry.....

He deserved the $100K fine, dude. Why do you want to alibi for him? Is that the best you can do? What he did sends a clear messageto his players that unsportsmanlike conduct is OK. The official should have penalized the Pittsburgh bench for interfering with the return and fined him. You can bet if the situation had been reversed
we would have been penalized. The difference between Harbaugh and JJ is they are
part of the NFL; obviously, I'm not. Coach Harbaugh is great at coach speak but he
is not a great coach. He should have condemned what Mike Tomlin did, especially whenTomlin was doing it to his team in an effort to beat us. However,if Harbaugh
doesn't want to stand up for the integrity of the sport, that is his prerogative butas for me, I will defend this house and the game's integrity. A rule is a rule.
It should apply to every team, not just some teams. The fine is a good start but
they should lose a draft pick next year. It was just one more example of the NFL
officials not having the courage to make an obvious call against the protected
Steelers probably due to the fact that Tomlin is a member of the Rules Committee.

Lol conspiracy lol everyone hates us wah wah wah it sucks to be a Ravens fan because everyone hates us and Tomlin should be fired from the NFL and the Steelers should lose all their draft picks and wah wah wah

100,000 dollar fine. That's plenty. It's time to move on like everyone else has.

I agree with Mili and must say the whole NFL hates us thing is also really getting annoying.

Who cares?  I have never been one to go with the popular choice.  I have always went against the grain if necessary.

If it really gets under ones skin that much, please go cheer for a media darling- Cowboys, Patriots, Broncos.  For me, being a media darling has never mattered when cheering for the Ravens.

In fact, the less people that like the Ravens...the better.  I want them to be my team and I actually enjoy the fact that most of the people I encounter are actual fans of the Ravens and not just those that bought a $5 license plate a Wal-mart.

It makes me wonder if fantasy football and betting is about to ruin the game, or is it too late?

It's a sad state of affairs that people even have to ask that question, whether there is any truth behind it or not. I should be able to honestly say to you that you are crazy for thinking that.....but I can't.

You will probably catch poop for saying that...but I do agree with your underlying message.

However, I do think the punishment handed down was fair and appropriate. A six figure fine for breaking a rule, and it allows the punishment to become much more strict if his act turns out to actually have any tangible affects.
Not to mention the public embarrassment and ridicule the Steelers will have to deal with for years....people still talk about Spygate.

Ravens fans, I would like Ravens fans' answer to a couple things:

Should whether Tomlin gets suspended or give up draft picks, be based on whether your coach Harbaugh thinks Tomlin's interference was accidental?  I wrote an article saying Harbaugh thinks Tomliln's blocking Jacoby Jones was accidental & that therefore the Steelers should not receive any punishment.  Steelers fans reacted the way they thought I would, which is to agree with me on that

Several days ago I used my website to write several articles saying the Steelers should not get punished for interfering with Jacoby Jones.  And most of the Steelers posters there have posted (on many articles there) that Goodell historically is against the Steelers & that Goodell in the past has only punished the Steelers, not the Ravens or other teams.  We think Steelers should get favored treatment, one of the reasons being we have Rooney vs you have Modell.

Well since I'm here I can admit a few things:
- I'll admit that when we write blogs to trigger Steeler fans into trashing Ravens, it works well.
- All Steeler fans on my website say Jacoby Jones would have been caught by Cortez Allen anyway even if Tomlin weren't there.  I can admit here though (not there) I could see Jacoby Jones started slowing down about 10 yards prior to Tomlin, & that's probably why Jacoby Jones was caught.
- Tomlin can afford fines & even a suspension & because wont be any loss of draft pick, Tomlin knew to do anything to slow down any Raven if he can, & fans are encouraging to help us win more games like that.

I think Harbaugh said that in coach speak. He's simply trying to move on from it. He said that to douse the flame.

I believe that Coach Harbs was just being political in his response.

Yep.  Like always.  Behind close doors, I'd find it hard to believe he still thought it was 'accidental'.  He's just a very PC guy, doesn't like to rock the media boat too much.

And it was Jason Worilds, who has largely been a bust thus far. Better this year, but still Jason Worilds.

Worilds has been playing extremely well but yeah Oher won't be getting a contract due to Monroe being a much better option. I think Oher will go somewhere else and have a nice career though.
