I don't/didn't like it. Now that I think about it, it's a very smart play. He's going to get the td if you don't do it, so leave it in the refs hands and see what happens.

Yep, that's why I'm not mad about it. I appreciate genius, even if it is the enemy

We should have blown out the steelers in this one.

1. Our offense is absolutely pathetic in the red zone.

2. Tomlin interfered with Jacoby.

"I was just frustrated mostly because there was so many opportunities for us (offense) out there to score points and win!  Just big!  And, to just put the game away and we didn't do it!  And we (offense) left that (defense struggling to hold the steelers out from tying up the game) to happen!  And that is just frustrating!  When you're not converting and scoring TD's, you're hoping that that doesn't happen; but in the back of your mind you're thinking; man, this is going to catch up to us (offense)." - Joe Flacco

^ Ain't that something?  Joe Flacco is saying the same thing that I've being saying in here over and over and over about our offense and how they need to score TD's when they are in the redzone in stead of settling for FG's.

There is no excuse for Tomlin's action. If he was watching the play on the big screen, he would have saw Jacoby closing in on him. It was defiantly an intentional move by the coach of a struggling team. He should be suspended, but probably won't be...

And I really hope this is Oher's last season here. He thinks he knows the snap count, but apparently he doesn't.

At least New England had the "decency" to try to be covert with their tactics.  This doesn't move them down the list of most hated teams though.  They're still tied with Pittsburgh for that.

Can't wait till he hits FA. It's been fun Michael but buh-bye.

If this wasn't a contract year, we might be able to rouse a a mob to run him out of town.  He's been bad all season, but he was awful tonight.  And it wasn't just the penalties, he was a terrible blocker.  If Ozzie re-signs that bum, his sanity needs to be called into question.

Monroe(higher priority)
Pitta(higher priority)
Dayrl Smith(higher priority)
Art Jones(higher priority)
Jacoby Jones(higher priority)

Now, I can guarentee that Monroe and Pitta will be back. Pitta for a minimum deal bc of his injury and Monroe bc Ozzie realizes that franchise LTs don't grow on trees.

I think Jacoby comes back bc he's a playmaker who won't be super expensive.

Smith is a toss up bc of his age.

We ain't getting Art back unless we extend him before he becomes a FA.

So that leaves us with

Monroe
Pitta
Jacoby.

We will also prob resign Cody.

And some team will overpay Oher tremendously. He's out of our price range bc he's a name,

Honestly, I like Art Jones and I think he's a solid player, but I don't think losing him would be a big loss.  We have some other young talent in the DL rotation, and Art Jones really isn't a star.  I don't see an appreciable difference between his play and Cory Redding when he was here.  He's a really solid player, but nothing special.

Smith could go either way, but I think Jacoby won't be as cheap as you're expecting.  As long as we re-sign Monroe, I'll be happy.

Jacoby won't be cheap but I think he's certainly affordable.

We have so much depth on the Dline that it's not even funny.

Monroe will be back. All else fails then we franchise him

Our defense struggled down the stretch...again!  But, they were able to man up at the very end to maintain the win!  However, offensively, I think Joe Flacco played one hell of a game in leading the Ravens to victory but, I just want to see more TD's when they get to the redzone.  Not blaming the offense at all!  "I" just want to see TD's down there instead of all of these FG's.  And not only me; but Joe Flacco wants to see them also.....

After the game on field interview with Joe Flacco:

"We had six scoring drives and we can't put the ball in the endzone!  And it was all our own doing!  Just mistake after mistake after mistake!  Umm, you know, we couldn't put the ball in the endzone!  Getting in the endzone on that 3rd down made the difference!  We moved the ball, we really did.  We just got to get better when we get down in there (redzone).  It's all mistakes; false starts, couple of dropped passes, couple of missed throws.  Umm, you know, frustrating!  But, at the same time it is great to get a win against these guys!"    - Joe Flacco

And that's what I expect him to say, to put it on himself and the offense. Not disputing they need more TDs but the defense has got to stop disappearing in the fourth quarter. It's becoming a trend.

you should like you think your the only one that camr up with the thought of, hey wouldn't it be nice if we scored more touchdowns than field goals.

Doesn't take a genius to come to that conclusion. Everyone else just assumes its common sense

Things happen, and neither the offense nor defense were perfect but this was a good win over a good Steelers team that has been hot in recent weeks. Good job Ravens!

Great win that whole Tomlin thing sucked . No need to vent I thought our guys played well considering two games in 5 days is not easy and I love that we are finally starting to click Pitta back should help with the red zone efficiency

He should be suspended. It is quite obvious it was intentional. I mean, that is serious stuff intentionally cheating like that.

Didn't they suspend the jets coach that did the same thing? And tomlins a head coach. He shoyld be suspended, but I doubt that will happen.

I used to have a shred of respect for Tomlin as a good coach. No longer. That was a cheap play. Would Jacoby have scored? Potentially, Allen had an ok angle on him, but consider this:
A) Jones saw him all the way, thus he wasn't focused on out running any potential tackler, he was focused on Tomlin.
2) Had he not had to slow down and go to the right, Allen would have been coming uo more directly behind him, and would have had to make ONE HECK of a tackle to break his momentum.
D) Had situation 2 played out, and jones had been tackled from behind, the momentum of both players moving forward at that speed would have gotten at least a few more yards.

I don't agree that it should have been awarded a td because it wasn't a clear cut td. BUT Tomlin was on the field...either way you slice it, that is a 15 yd penalty that was absolutely blown by the refs.

This guy can not play, period. On the two plays of note last night he blew the coverage.  Not a fan of his at all.  We got lucky last night, that should have been a penalty on the two point conversion. Every time you turn around he's getting burned or flagged for a penalty. Get rid of this bum.

When he came in for Corey Graham, I was afraid he would mess up immediately & he did. He shouldn't have been covering Antonio Brown anyway, that was stupid on the Ravens part. But, he does make big plays & tackles on special teams. I don't recall him getting any penalties though. Oher on the other hand...

its a process called "development" You can't have a team full of 1st round picks, you're going to have to develop some guys from later rounds. He has all the natural ability in the world, its the mental part of the game he needs to work on. Which is why he was getting SOME minutes in some games to give him game experience incase someone were to get hurt and he had to go in. He has shown some flashes of play making ability but has blunders as well....sounds like Lardarius Webb, and Jimmy Smith in their first couple of years as well. Good thing we never gave up on them eh?

I thought having him cover brown  was asking allot ,,, I agree with radicals. Given playing time I bet he improves it has taken three years for JImmy smith that's a hard postion to play .

Sanders and Bell dancing, only to come up short when it mattered.

Mike Tomlin unsurprisingly acting like a punk and then being passive agressive.

Ryan Clark doing more talking than playing. Got trucked by Ray Rice - NO ONE gets trucked by Rice.

Polamalu a shell of his former self, Flacco was almost laughing at him pre-snap.

--------------------------------------------

Now... Torrey dropped a couple passes that he should not have. Whether that was a remnant of his wrist thing he had early in the game, I don't know, but it was bad.

Ray Rice did squat again and compounded it with a personal foul. Yet, when I was watching pre-game and post-game shows I hear imbeciles like Heath Evans and Rodney Harrison say we have to feed him the rock to win. They obviously never watch the games. Pierce ran much stronger and faster.

Michael Oher had a relapse to his old self. Penalty-stricken and blowing his pass-blocks. Ugly game.

Chykie Brown struggled when he was pulled up when Graham got hurt. Steelers tested him and won. He was out the very next play and Graham went back in. Our corners are pretty much set in Smith (RCB), Webb (Slot), Graham (LCB). Antonio Brown avoided Smith by just moving to the other side.

Pass-rush was anemic. Suggs was going up against back-up after back-up and he barely grazed Roethlisberger. I don't know if anyone even got a hit on him. The Steelers OL is notoriously porous - maybe not recently, though - I expected more.

Heath Miller got a handful of easy catches that I have to put on the ILBs. Bynes looked lost in coverage and Smith sometimes was too consumed with making adjustments to get over to the TE.

The Defense almost blew this game big time. Hung on by their fingertips and stopped the two-point conversion. Can't use being tired as an excuse, they were getting walked up and down the field and used all three timeouts in the 4th quarter trying to get their stuff together. On those two fourth quarter drives, the Steelers held the ball for 9+ minutes and marched to touchdowns. The defense needs to finish games, this has been a recurring thing.

On another note. Who was Webb covering all night? Heath Miller?

Because it seemed like we had Jimmy and Corey on the outside against Sanders and Brown.

He is an okay solid player. Not great by any stretch, but very good on ST. Sure he is not going to step in for Webb, Graham, or Jimmy and look as good, but hopefully he gets better. It wasnt last year that Jimmy looked like crap and now he is stellar. It was a mistake to put him on so talented a WR.
