Went back and read this thread later to get a feel for how the fans were enduring the end of the game. You can't absorb what's being discussed in the moment. It's too fast and furious.

 

The Steelers game was nerve racking and it was hard to endure it. But what came through in review is how devoted a fan you are.

 

Sometimes, it can get really hard to watch when you love them so much.

Agreed.  We're a very passionate fan base and the heat of the action causes some of us, me especially, to

say a bunch of stuff.  I figure it's better than having to replace a remote every game!  :)

I think he just got nervous and ran in too early. Wasn't it like a 4th down and 8 or something? That kind of down really doesn't scream trick play, though it would have been a long FG anyway.

 

(That said, if he sinks the FG I think we play more aggressive in the red zone, including at least one or two GFIs that we chose to settle for three on, so I don't think that won us the game by any stretch).

 

If we're swapping game-watching stories, NFL Game Pass really did not come through for me on that last drive. It kept freezing for 30 seconds at a time and I could only get a vague idea of what was going on. I didn't see a single play between 5:31 and the two minute warning (although it froze up on one play and I was able to count eight Steelers in pass protection), and I only saw the Heath Evans tackle because it worked for part of a replay.

 

I kept the window open, but I actually migrated to the tracker on NFL.com until the two-point conversion. I was a strange mix of nervous, angry, upset, optimistic and excited for the entire drive and not being able to see what was happening only made it worse.

Hey Pino, all teams have fans that suck.  OMG, what a great game.  Typical of every Steeler/Raven game.  I hate the Ravens... but they play defense so much like the Steelers...I actually rooted for them last year in the super bowl.  Seriously guys, that was a great game, I only hope Bell can come back next week.  The only thing that sucks from our games is the injuries.
